Suppose the Blue trooper is Active. It activates with a Regular Order, and declares Move as its first Short skill and moves, eventually providing the Red trooper an opportunity to ARO. So the Red declares Dodge as an ARO. The Blue declares Move as its second Short Skill, so it just moves forward. The question is, will a successful Dodge of the Red trooper seize the movement of the Blue trooper, eventually stopping it in the position ①? Or the Blue trooper just moves forward to the position ②, since the Dodge movement of the Red trooper is not enough to reach the Blue in its final position?
When the active trooper declares move, it moves right away. The move dodge of the red one (if suscecfull) happens after the blue one has moved the 2 times, in the 6.1 step. Please check this: https://infinitythewiki.com/Trooper_Activation#Order_Expenditure_Sequence
The quantum intercept dodge died at the end of second edition. There may have been a party to celebrate. The important thing to note is that all of the movement for any Dodges that succeed get resolved after the active player’s movement has been resolved. There’s no “I want to interrupt your movement” option.
