And that's the first painted Megalodron I've seen! Congratulations! Not just on the fantastic job on your big bad boss baby, but also the whole set. I can imagine who someone could run out of steam after 50 models in three months, including a giant PVC model XD You deserve a break!

Thanks Guys! It really was an epic model to finish off a marathon couple of months of painting.

    INFINITY DEFIANCE : Scenery
    [IMG]
    Scenery
I find it a bit hard to get excited about scenery and this was especially so after I had finished all the miniatures from the main Defiance game. What made this part of the project even tougher was my exhaustion after painting so many minis in only a couple of months, plus I managed to get my hands on a new Xbox Series X for the normal retail price and was totally distracted! Nevertheless I chipped away at the scenery over all of April, using fast painting techniques like dry brushing to get everything painted with minimal effort and concentration. All up this epic project was complete in three months and now Defiance is done and dusted for the time being Yay!... Until wave two arrives.

Taiga Pits (Damn why did I have to concentrate to finish these guys)

Your output is breathtaking. Congratulations on the fully finished first wave! You're probably one of the few people who can claim that at this point ;) Not jealous at you for this workload though XD

Thanks. I had to be super disciplined to get it all done. Went a bit crazy tired in the end but I made it.

INFINITY PANOCEANIA VARUNA: Sectorial Starter Pack
    [IMG]

VARUNA IMMEDIATE REACTION DIVISION (SECTORIAL STARTER PACK) BOX

Been busy these last couple of months working on my favourite Pano faction, Varuna (because they are made up of Aussies). I like the Orcs with their skull faces the most. The starer pack has a good selection across the whole sectorial to work on. Pity I'm not a huge fan of the fish men so not sure what to do about a proxy (never much keen on aliens due to my 40k xenophobia most likely). In any case I like all the other guys in this army and have been expanding it to a nice size. More pics to come soon.

Crisp as always! Did you batch paint those or did you go one by one?

When working on an army I always batch paint around 5 to 10 models up to the point base colour and shading (takes about a week of casual evening sessions of around a couple of hours where I don''t have to concentrate too hard). Then I work on each model one at a time (this usually takes acouple ofe evenings of focused painting at a round 4 hour stretches).

Don't usually post them as I store the pics on blog because this forum has a habit of deleting pics after a while. But here you go:

    INFINITY PANOCEANIA VARUNA: Orc Troops
    [IMG]

    Orc Troops
Heavy infantry are my favourite Infinity models to paint and I am drawn to a faction if they are good looking models. The Orcs are top notch. I especially like their skull faces and wanted to outdo the Studio models that left this detail out of the majority of their paintjobs. These guys are the back bone of my Varuna army and the reason I wanted to put it together. I'm very satisfied with how this bunch turned out.

The only thing I think you can improve on is your picture resolution. WHY CAN'T I ZOOM IN!? :P

It’s because they are from a blog. if you go there you can zoom (link at bottom of each post). Unfortunately I don’t trust saving pics on the forum since it has deleted all pics a couple of times in the last few years.

    INFINITY PANOCEANIA VARUNA: Patsey Garnett

Patsey Garnett, Orc Troops Varuna Division NCO
This lady adds a nice touch of character to her Orc buddies. I like the subtle difference in her armour pattern, like it is slightly customised. I had to add her skull helmet like her team compatriots. I always paint the lights as off when a visor is up, just like the movies when you flip it down the lights go on.

    INFINITY PANOCEANIA VARUNA: Kamau
    [IMG]
    Kamau Amphibious Intervention Teams

Each Pano sectorial seems to have a mid level team with a round helmet and pointy hat. For Varuna it is the Kamau. It is fun how they seem to be equipped with scuba gear and flotation vests. With that in mind I painted their pouches a synthetic black/grey instead of leather as usual on my Pano. Didn't want the leather to get wet lol! Thus I had to repaint the HMG I did a while back a little bit.

I think I like the hacker the most. It was a bit of a pain to get her as she was only recently repacked in an expansion set and I didn’t want all the other dudes in the set, but I tracked her down in the end so she can lead her buddies.
