    Hi everyone,
I'm now slowly crawling back into Infinity and N4, after a long pause and thanks to TTS I recently played a few games with Hassassins.

I love that they got a TAG, but to be honest, while I think it is a good one, it certainly lacks any Haqqi or Hassassin flavour.
I started playing Infinity at a time when Haqq had very unique designs, no one else had like mono cycles and the famous chicken remotes, and I do think this flavour has ben very much lost in these past few years.

So I was just having fun with a friend thinking of ways to fluff up the Shakush and give it some distinct Hassassin flavour.
This is supposed to be a fun little thread where everyone can live out his maddest fantasies, so please be kind to another.

.) one way to go would be to let the shakush use his actual PH for dodges. He's an (H)assassin after all.

.) Another way would be to give him some Viral Weaponry, e.g a Viral CC Weapon.

.) Mimetism -3 or even -6 would also be ok. I also thought of Impersonation but that would be hard to explain fluff wise (Angus:" thats nice, I didn't know we had a Tikbalang as support for today" :D)

.) If Impersonation is to much, you could make it a Killerhacker for the cybermask program, which is only one level of impersonation. It would have the inbuilt weakness that the TAG could also be wounded and killed by other Killerhackers.

Thats all I came up with for now. I know that some of these are crazy overpowered ,but as I said this is just for fun.
What funny or crazy ideas do you have ?

have a nice day and stay safe!

I'm afraid that's just wishful thinking.

I haven't seen the fluff for Shakush, but from what I recall reading here on the forum, it is a rather generic light TAG (if memory serves me, coming from the YJ factories), that was bought by the Sword of Allah exactly to fill the niche of a smaller, lighter and cheaper TAG than the XCR-5 Akrep of the Maghariba Guard.

And it is fielded both by Hassassin strike teams and Ramah units, primarily as a fire support platform. Which implies it is not a Hassassin (moreover, it has exactly the same profile, regardless of which sectorial fields it). The Shakush pilots aren't any more Hassassin than the Ghulam or Najjarun in the Hassassin Bahram lists: merely regular Sword of Allah guys & gals on lease to support the Old Man's efforts.

Maybe Camo (1 use) and a additional (heavy) shotgun or panzerfaust [emoji6]

Yes thats exactly what it was supposed to be: wishful thinking.
I actually haven't seen that its also used in RTF.
I was just dreaming of getting a little bit of flavour onto a, by no means bad, but rather boring TAG. I actually kind of miss the days where every faction had some tools and/ or skills that no one else had, just to have a kind of uniqueness.
But then I'm a nostalgic grumpy old git :D

It's cheapness is sort of Hassassin-y, anyway. It's like the Daylami of TAGs. Run it up the board, do some damage, make them spend orders getting rid of it, meanwhile the important part of your list is doing the mission.

I suppose if I wanted to make it more Hassassinesque, I'd give it Dogged :-)

So I was curious and started comparing the Shakush to the Gecko (seemed like the closest analogue, w/ similar/same Str, S, Arm, BTS, Move and importantly points):
    - Weapons are pretty equivalent - +2 Dam Multi-rifle =~ +1 Dam AP Spitfire, Chain rifle =~ Heavy Flamer
    - Gecko gets a Panzerfaust, but then the Shakush gets a +1 BS... so a wash... to probably better for the Shakush
    - WIP 13 vs. 14 makes the Gecko more hackable and a worse specialist, so this definitely goes to the Shakush
    - The Shakush doesn't have an ECM (the Gecko has ECM vs. guided.. which is... corner case?), but DOES have Courage (which I'm kinda surprised the Gecko DOESN'T have, seems like fairly standard for almost all other TAGS), I think Courage comes up a lot more often, so goes to the Shakush
    - Shakush is an extra 0.5 SWC, but I feel like that matters a lot less than it used to... but still Gecko wins this one
    - Geckos definitely get better fireteam options, so I'm gonna give this one two Gecko Geckos
    - most other stuff is the same or equivalent (both get Tac Aware, Shock Imm...)

So overall it's mostly a draw, which is what you'd expect for TAGS of similar point value (56 vs. 58). Of course you can't compare the two TAGS in a bubble, but at a very simple level... if you're going to buff the Shakush then you're probably going to have to pay more for it (like Papa Bey said) which kind of takes away the point of having a cheap TAG for Haqq, or you're besmirching the Gecko by association, which I just can't allow...
