I believe TAK is the most expensive army. Because more or less all avaiable options are useful. You will want to buy dynamos, antipodes, carmen and others. This is not to crit TAK but actually to praise. Tak is maybe the best army to use all resources in possible army options. Maybe it is the best optimised army with weaknesses and strengths. i want to buy everything at the end and it makes my wallet unhappy. Can you notify any unit in army that is hard to use like we experience in other armies or do i feel right?
I also play Onyx and boy that feels like a difficult army. Another well designed faction is RTF (Ramah Task Force).
I dont believe it is true Neither antipodes or dynamos are autopicks that are first things you should buy (K9 on the other hand...) Split Dogwarrior box with someone, you are not likely to run both in one list Unlike other factions you are not like obliged to buy remote box On top of that Antipodes are a unit that I believe is for experienced players because it takes skill to maneuver the big silhouettes around and not lose them to simple aros. Once it is released Kosmoflot might be easier/cheaper to collect if the Bear would be divorced from starter and ithe raw power of that sectorial is bigger than TAK I think collecting vanilla armies is still more expensive because if you seek wysiwig you buy a lot of different and not cost-effective boxes. Vanilla YJ for example needs kuang shi, 1 celestial guard from the box of 4, a box of monks (thankfully the blister is coming) and thats just the base of cheap guys with chain rifles
Having shelled out a couple hundred on TAK recently...I completely agree with Angry Clown. Though I would not say that it's a result of their choices being optimized, but more simply that the amount of choice is limited, and the choices all generally have a playable profile (except maybe Traktor Muls beyond being order batteries). But yeah, Antipodes being not only awesome conceptually, but visually, and being very good in game for their points means they are an auto-buy, Carmen Johns is in the same boat...some of this is subjective (i.e. aesthetics), but other points are objective (i.e. usefulness and power of the unit). I think TAK has a very strong army list, although some changes in N4 did hurt it (15 model limit, and Hacking buffs).
The expensive army was USARF that army only had 2 optional products in N3, the unknown ranger and minutemen, all the rest was equally useful and many variations of troop choices could fit in each list. But I honestly don't see why that should be good, specially if we consider that army core design is completely broken and barely playable in N4. All that money for an army that will remain in live support for years to come just like MRRF. An army being expensive will never be something good in my book, even more after seeing what happens with armies overtime when they don't generate revenue anymore. I have many reasons to disagree with that opinion.
