    We came to an discussion about declaring SF mode (namely KotHS, welp),

    Since Holoecho status goes off whenever you declare an entire order except cautious movement;

    Fetching a command token to activate SF mode to the reactive trooper is NOT using an order;

    Does this make the trooper able to go into SF mode while retaining their holoecho deployment?

    Course it will go off when it actually shoots, but we're talking about deployment phase.

    Since you would cancel your Holoecho state by declaring Suppression Fire, you will cancel the echo state if you Command Token SF state, as per the FAQ

    When making Strategic Use of a Command Token
    to place a Trooper in Suppressive Fire State, how
    does this interact with Marker States, nearby
    enemy Mines etc?
    The Trooper has not declared an Order, and will
    not trigger enemy Deployable Weapons etc.
    However, any States, Fireteam membership etc.
    that would be cancelled by declaring a
    Suppressive Fire Entire Order will be cancelled.

    Yet, the FAQ is talking about declaring SF mode by an entire order. We're talking about command token SF mode which does not use an order, just putting them into SF mode.

    The Holoprojector bearer declares an Entire Order other than Cautious Movement. - fetching SF mode by token is not using a order;
    This State does not interfere with Automatic Special Skills or Automatic Equipment, which will remain functioning normally. - SF mode does not interfere with holoecho status.

    And yes I'm confused right now.

    Holoechoes state is a marker state & as written in a FAQ - is canceled even if you use a CT to activate it before game start. in the end of a turn, during states phase, however trooper in SF mode with a holoprojector can regain this state for free if nobody could see him.

    Do you lose the state if declaring Suppression Fire? Yes, because it is an Entire Order skill that is not Cautious Movement.
    As FAQ says, you will have any state that is cancelled by declaring Suppression Fire cancelled if you enter the state with a Command Token.
    So yeah, the FAQ is also talking about using command tokens.
