Fair enough. Likely they just pushed everything out the door as quickly as possible, expecting delays (as is not unexpected in the current environment). Some of us got lucky. Hell, I wasn't expecting my delivery to be 'till today according to the original dispatch notice, and then I got warned to expect delays. I didn't think it'd be coming 'till next week at the earliest, but instead it arrived on Monday, BEFORE the original expected delivery date! A very happy surprise all 'round.
You can go for the supportwared Sierra at the price of that MSV2 FT Spitfire -seeing you have BF and Dart you are ok on visors- and degrading one of the Trinittrirititarians to the SMG version. Not sure it's better but you gain some range/ARO without sacrificing the basics of the list: Zw9taWxpdGFyeS1vcmRlcnMAgSwCAQoBgwMBAwAChhgBBQADhhgBAgAEhhgBAgAFhhkBAQAGGAEFAAcRAQEACIYaAQMACYRqAQEACoX3AQMAAgQBhfcBBAACJgECAAMTAQEABIOnAQIA I'm happy with the options NewMO has brought. It's still restricted but imo it keeps the flavour while allowing different list concepts (paintrains, big shooting, midfield presence, even hacking focused). I'm comparing it to Starmada, which I bought back in the day, and it really seems more flexible, which is quite surprising...
Reading what many of you are telling about deliveries I must consider myself very lucky. I got the full pack (starter + Montesa + Mendoza + dronbots because I needed them) on March 31st. And I'm in South America.
That's certainly an interesting option. This is the kind of "all in on midfield" that I think just can't work (except maybe as a meme or a real surprise, leaning very heavily into peoples tendency to hide in expectation of overwhelming ranged firepower from any PanOceanian list): ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 8 1 ORDER SERGEANT Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 15) CROSIER (Paramedic) Combi Rifle ( | MediKit) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 13) CROSIER Combi Rifle, Blitzen, E/M Mines / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 13) CROSIER Combi Rifle / Pistol, CC Weapon. Honestly the list doesn't look half bad except Mendoza is an absolute weak point and the list doesn't look like it can protect him
Start him in suppression, with no LoF past 16", in a position where your opponent will have to go through a mine, one of the other Skirmishers, the Core Fireteam HRL and the Hidden Deployment MULTI-Sniper and I think most people will end up regretting spending their first turn trying to take him out.
I started just like that in the last game, covered by a Blackfriar HRL and a KoJ spitfire in a fireteam... Was inmovilised by a speculative EM grenade and then monofilamented to dead by a linked Hulang...
That's going to happen sometimes. But his dodge vs spec grenades is going to waste a lot of orders in most games. And I'd argue that he should be sitting somewhere that you can cover the approaches to within 8" with that HRL (and if there's a gap then it's covered by the hidden sniper).
I'm mostly concerned about hacking through repeaters, even with fire lane protection its rather rough . I had him in suppressive fire covered by hidden deployment trinitarians , he got his booty spotlighted and then guided missile launcher
Was a bad start for the game, Black Friar vs Shang Ji HRL, both rolling for 16, 3 dices vs 2... i rolled 1 and 2... Friar dead with the 1st order of the game
Does anybody know why in army at the entry of the Tik it says religious troop next to the unit type but in the unit profile it says courage? Wouldnt those two cancel each other out? Aside from that I have played the new Tik in two games now and its awesome. Really good combination of skills. Gesendet von meinem SM-A202F mit Tapatalk
Have courage because in N3 It was included in Remote Presence. In the past, I played that situation like you can pass automatically the roll for hiding, but i think It was faqed at some point
I wonder if the Blitzen carried by the middle one is just a Flash Pulse, or a sign of changes to come.
The faces are great, but I don't like the models. I don't think they look like MO units at all. And I don't find the camo effect particularly clear and convincing as what it's supposed to be, I liked the hexes on the old OS a lot more.
As I understand the new fluff, I don't think the Trinitarians are supposed to be members of the Orders at all. The MO sectorial is the Church's army, and includes knights and sergeants from the Orders, but also includes other Church troops. The Crosiers and Trinitarians are of the latter type. On that basis I really like their design, they sell the "badass priest" look pretty well. Except that like so many Infinity models, they have too much armor for their ARM.
Can anyone explain to me why they get a box of three though? They are your typical infiltrating camo specialists, since when do those get a full box? Does anyone ever take more than one of these? Especially since the Varangians only get a single blister.
Multiple Trinirinitarians seems pretty common in MO, they're very cheap for their role and a main source of board control for the Sectorial. As an MO player I'm very happy with the box. I would have liked to see more VarGuard, but I think the days of 4 Warband boxes is over, with the 15 trooper cap we no longer see as much spamming of cheap smoke troopers. I would like to see a second sculpt at least so you can do a 2 VarGuard + UKR Haris in my Kosmoflot when it comes. Maybe we'll see it as part of a mixed 3+1 box with Rokots or something.
Trinitarians look amazing, definitely a good pull from all the possible armored combat priests in all the medias of fiction. See these guys makes me wish Infinity had their own series like The Clone Wars. A band of stitched together characters from different factions traversing all walks of life in their fight against the EI and it'll introduce us to cool ass looking characters like these 3.
