So I am not sure if this question has been answered yet (and if it makes any sense at all). But my search has been unsuccessful so far. The rules for partial cover state: Partial Cover does not allow the attacker to see the whole Silhouette of their BS Attackās target. The target is in Partial Cover when they are in contact with a piece of scenery that partially obscures their Silhouette. The example I constructed to support my question is illustrated by the following drawing: Blue trooper is in the active turn. He moves and ends his movement at the point shown in the image. He now has LoS to red trooper. Red trooper is standing behind a box. From the PoV of blue trooper, the Siluette of red trooper is obscured by the corner of the building next to blue trooper. Blue trooper does not see the box red trooper is standing behind, since the corner of the building is obscuring the part of red troopers sillouette which would be obscured by the box. If the building was not there, the situation would be clear. Red silouette would be partially obscured and therefore he would recieve cover. But since the piece of scenery reds silouette is partially obscured by (from blues perspective) is not the piece of scenery that red is in contact with, does red get cover?
Red gets cover from the box he's touching. For determining cover, you only look at the scenery they're touching, so it doesn't matter whether or not the larger building is there.
