Joan can join any Duo and Bulleteer has Duo. Although, I don't see much point in doing that personally.
Good way to always hit on 15s and either apply-6 to those who have no visor or ARM and wounds and a sword to those who do. And it's cheap to buff with an EVO with marksmanship or fairy dust. You can always bring a Tinbot toting knight as well.
Bulleteers have duo, Konstantinos, Infirmarers, Joan, KoJ and Santiagos are wildcards (or special mention in the case of Joan) that can take a Bulleteer out for a walk.
HMG - anti-ARO weapon. You don't need anti-ARO weapon on the bulky HI models, who want to move to the middle of the table, you need a medium-distance weapon, like spitfire. Although HMG still a good weapon. And yet, just HMG isn't enough in the current meta - you need AP HMG, same with spitfire, yet we have what we have. Current MO has two good core options with great ARO- HI mixed core (Teutons plus support), or classic mixed core (Santiago plus support). And last but not least - we have HMG haris if you need it. We have rly good Lt options - Teutons, Jean - and OK option - Commander. They are all protected from the impersonators and the first two options are protected from alpha-strike. Yet, Commander isn't good enough, i must agree with it. And yeah, it rly needs Counterintelligence on it. CoC option will be stupid - because he is commander, not second leutenant in the army. Santiago and KoJ can also work like aggressive leutenants. If you want it. Other options are bad. Someone here mentioned Duo teams - if i ever see such teams in competitive tournaments i will believe in them, yet i haven't seen them till this moment. It's better to use coordinate order. The only working Duo i can see - monk (5 pt) plus Jing Qo. Monk can cower her with smokes. And yet - they have 4-4 move, which makes them kinda bad. And i'm talking about competitive games, where all points matter and you take maximum efficient models and options. Otherwise - Duos are just for fun. Yes, Tik beats down Seraph completely, it's sad. On the other hand - at least we have one good TAG, coz rly long time there was only Sphinx on the competitive scene. Other tags were garbage. Maybe they will rework Seraph one day. There is only two sectorials with creative fireteams - IA and Toha. Yet Toha army is discontinued. Other sectorials didn't have those options if we are talking about competitive infinity. In general, you choose a sectorial army for the tournament either for the suteble mission or in the case when this army has a good linkable ARO unit. Again, within the kitchen, you can play how you want and with miniatures you want. But, there is an exception here - you choose sectorial as your first army if you are a novice player and if you want to play with Pano, coz Pano general army is kinda meh. Mendoza with a shotgun can swipe the whole enemy roster if it's controlled properly. Yes, crusade fireteam is outdated and kinda useless - i hope one day they will rework it also. Same true about De Fersen.
Seems like you didn't even think about playing Koj Hacker + Bulleteer Spitfire duo, right? Because it's really nice working duo. The big problem for it is to be able to get a list that works with it as MO is still forced to take a lot of mandatory troopers because of the gear check the meta imposes. Would you not be forced to take the Montesa Tik and/or Dart nearly 100% of the time, I can see me playing this duo as often as I could, because the two troopers synergise so well. At the moment, the Seraph is not interesting because of several things : bad against high-tech TAGs until it reaches CC, N4 Super Jump and its cost. Its a magnificent TAG in Vanilla, IMO, but MO has quite a hard time to play dual TAG. Though, I can see it working nicely in a meta where you don't have to fight against YJ, Nomads, CA and PanO. I agree that De Fersen is lacking the FT: Duo and Haris skills right now. This would enable him to assault with a Santiago KHD or in Haris with a Sergeant and a Lazarus, for example, for a cheap and effective little team. Anyway, he is really good now, he is just not very well integrated in the sectorial. It's quite the problem of this sectorial: nice things have a bit of a hard time to work well together. It's not something you have in the other four sectorials.
Ah crap, forgot they changed the wording on that. Hopefully something that'll change with the Fireteam revamp.
That's exactly the problem in MO for now. Some units would be wonderful in some Haris and Duo configurations, but those aren't allowed. Though, to be frank, MO N4 2.0 is a lot better than the 1.0 But still, the meta is so pressuring that you don't have that much of wiggle room for diversity. As for Mendoza, I've yet to try him, but I have a feeling that playing him with a proper FD list is kinda like cheesing my opponent. And cheesing is a two-edged sword that can strikes back harshly if you're a bit unlucky.
I tried him twice first time he didn't die but did nothing all game as my opponent kept rebuilding a super repeater net , then second time he got spotlighted through a repeater and hit by dual coordinated guided hrl by a tohaa player . It's rough playing him if you aren't going first because you are paying for that forward deployment but it might not be using it due to lack of market state and the big ol target painted on his head
https://infinitythewiki.com/Fireteams:_Basic_Rules When I read this page and Fersen, Fersen counts as Hospitaller so I think it can be a Hospitaller link. What matters is that "count as" Hospitallers automatically gives all core, haris, and duo skills Hospitallers have or not. Edit : I found the rules forum sayng the count as don't copy the fireteam skills. That's pretty sad :(
De Fersen would work for a Core, but not a Haris or Duo. The reason is that Fireteam: Core is not actually a skill; it's listed in Army as a matter of convenience. So while you could make a Core with De Fersen + 4 Wildcards, you cannot make a Haris with De Fersen + 2 Wildcards.
Slight correction: He still has the "count as Hospitaler" so it works if the Wildcard can supply the Haris or Duo Skill DeFe is missing.
All the duo options available to Joan sans adjustment to alternate profiles, such as KoJ profiles, Hospital profiles etc.
Wait, what? I thought, like at the end of N3, the trooper "home" of the fireteam had to have the fireteam skill. Is it not the case anymore?
https://infinitythewiki.com/Fireteam:_Haris The guy with the Fireteam Skill does not need to be an naming member (i.e. a Hospitaler for a Hospitaler Fireteam) or the leader. Just needs to be able to join in general. So Duo/Haris can be DeFe + Wildcards (one of which needs the Fireteam Skill). To make an example DeFe + KoJ is a valid Hospitaler Duo (DeFe being a count as Hospitaler to satify that part and KoJ having the Fireteam Duo Skill).
