Plan for April is: everything from MO preorder - army pack (few missing from group foto need touch up of priming) - mendoza - montessa - Uhlan
Been away for a while, but I'm back! I finished these guys on March 31. Didn't take photos until today, so here we are: Noxes from Defiance I wanted to try out GW contrast paint (Talassar Blue) and compare it on grey and white primer. The result: I like them both- the grey primer is more subdued while white gives it a bit more pop. For my future Shas models I will use grey primer and white base coat for the blue parts. Group shots of all six: I'm quite happy with the contrast paint. With a bit of additional edge highlights it looks really good at table top distance, though the subtleties are completely lost in the photos.
Every single time i get a kick out of the fact that thanks to the overabundance of details, Contrast works far better in pretty much all our minis than on their Primaris posterboys
After a digression into some painting for naval wargames, I've finally got some more Infinity models in the queue. Not sure I get around to them in April, but I hope so! The favorite is the Odalisque - such a beautiful and iconic mini - but the others are lovely as well.
Steady progress. White, purple done, and tiny hazard stripes done Starting to block in the black and metallic areas.
Old GW paints. Liche Purple, Warlock Purple, and Tentacle Pink. A little Leviathan Purple wash to push the shading.
Making steady progress, I may even get her finished this weekend. Head, weathering, and basing to do before varnishing. I have christened her Anne Bonney.
Finished the Calibans this week, but I forgot to take a pic before I started. Gonna get started with the Jayth. Probably won't finish before the end of the month though.
I haven´t parcitipated here for a while but i was hard at work defining my coloursheme for my Yu Jing especially for my imperial service. Agents have white masks and jade capes, Wu ming as penal regiment get orange facemasks as they might be reintegrated into society perhaps after the next deployment. Kuang shi have black masks because they are already considered dead and not human anymore. I tried blocking the colour out with one of each. Then i went to town and did this with every Imperial Service trooper. i am currently doing this with invincible army and white banner too. After that i will do each trooper individually.
The first almost finished trooper with my yu jing cloursheme it the Hulang. He was really fun to do. i might have to do some touchups on the skull and weapons and holsters especially the sword (since i tried something for me completely new on the blade) and finish the base. but for now i am pretty satisfied and he will do on the tabletop. Is it just me or does his backside look better?
