Good Afternoon, Have a question referencing the aforementioned equipment namely Medikits, Gizmokits and Marker States. As per the Wiki for Medikits: A MediKit's target must be an Allied Model in Unconscious State, unless certain scenario rules say otherwise. A MediKit can be used in one of two ways, each one with their own Requirements: To use it remotely, the user must have LoF to the target. To use it as a piece of contact equipment, the user must be in Silhouette contact with the target. No Wound Incap: Instead of placing an Unconscious Token next to the Trooper, place an NWI Token. To activate No Wound Incapacitation, the player must announce its use when the Trooper enters Unconscious State. Allows the Trooper to ignore the effects and Null Label of Unconscious State, treating it as Normal State instead. Any and all Marker States - I.e Camo, Impersonation etc. Primary Question due to current Rules: Does this mean that Medikits and similarily Gizmokits on REM Pres Equivalents cannot target a NWI'd Marker? For example Hai'dao with KHD in Cybermask mode? I guess this would also apply for Doctor skill also. Secondary Question if the above question is found to be inaccurate due to the ruling that Medikits are in fact allowed to target both allied models and markers. Does this allow say an enemy Paramedic to target said cybermasked Hai'dao with a medikit and potentially kill the Hai'dao as a result of a failed medikit phy roll while at the same time potentially healing it to a full normal state? While at the same time forcing it out of the marker state due to having to make a ph roll? Regards,
so nwi is a type of unconscious state. it even expliticitly states that it is possible to be healed. i think it is impossible but not because of the medikit itself but the illegality to get into that state. I think imp stops you doing the bs attack version and you cannot enter btb with it. so while yes technically, no in practicality.
This part is mainly if I have a core linked Paramedic friendly to the Hai'dao say for example within White Company the Hai'dao is in vicinity of a Fusi paramedic...the Hai'dao is NWI and i also have Cybermasked him up to protect him does this mean I cannot medikit him with the Fusi Paramedic? But if this Fusi is in fact allowed to shoot him with the medikit what is stopping an actual enemy paramedic who treats said imp marker marker as an ally also? The point is that Medikit requires a model not a marker. As the ruling stands at this time an NWI in a marker state specifically cannot be medikit'd purely because of the requirements of Medikit.
i do not believe you can shoot him with a medikit. it doesn't have to do with the fact that they are friendly and instead has to do with impersonation says you cannot target them with attacks.
See it's not a BS Attack but a short skill that uses the BS Attack rules to allow the conduct of the remote profile.
This. It's not really a question. Also, you can conceivably have a Marker State Trooper that is Unc (due mainly to being hit by Perimeter Items while re-entering the Marker state and similar weirdness) and be locked out from Healing them.
As the others have pointed out, and as you marked in red, MediKits and GizmoKits require you to target a Model, rather than a Trooper. If you target something other than a Model, such as an IMP-2 Marker, you will fail the Requirements.
