Hey guys, I have a tournament coming up in May and the missions are Supremacy, Biotechvore, Firefight, Countermeasures and Unmasking. I have split the missions into two categories so I can build a list for each. So far I have the following list for Supremacy/Biotechvore/Firefight g+kEby0xMiFTdXByZW1hY3ksIEZpcmVmaWdodCwgQmlvdGVjaHZvcmWBLAIBCQGFqQECAAKFrwEDAAOF6AEDAASFtAEDAAWF+QEDAAaFrQEGAAeFsAECAAiFtQEEAAmFtQEEAAIEAYW7AQEAAoW7AQEAA4W3AQIABIWzAQMA I am having a lot of trouble trying to build a list for Countermeasures/Unmasking. What are the lists you guys use for these missions? Any help would be appreciated.
This is my (completely untested) attempt for a specialist heavy mission: g+kAEU8xMiBGZWxka29udHJvbGxlgSwCAQsBhakBAgAChbEBAgADhbABBgAEhawBBAAFhbQBAwAGhbcBAgAHgMABAQAIhbsBAQAJhbsBAQAKhaoBAQALhacBBQACAwGFtQEEAAKFtQEEAAOF6AEEAA== It has almost every relevant specialist / equipment except for an engineer and CoC. Gangbuster / Sirius can be used for fulfilling objectives or stopping the opponent doing so. The Varangians bring valuable smoke. Lynx and Betatrooper (in sup. Fire) bring some defensive firepower while Gamma and Crusher are the attack pieces. A Cyberghost would be nice for this missions but I don't know what to throw out for it. Note that I use an alpha without Cho. I know that's risky but if it's well hidden, it is not so flimsy because of guard. And the opponent should have more than enough to do with the objectives and the rest of your army. In Unmasking I would use the Gamma as my data tracker. In countermeasures it depends on the objectives.
I think Biotechvore is unique enough you should make a list for that alone. Confused Deployment would affect the fallowing in your list: Crusher Gangbuster Razor On top of that Biotechvore as vanilla is difficult and best when you have a lot of impetuous or are 1 battle group, though the 8-4 split and 1 drop trooper also allows for a good use of your command tokens. I would also consider just having some people you plan on loosing to lock your enemy down, like a Gamma who can take multiple rounds in the zone. The first person to get good guns outside of the 16 inch death zone and in the right place to lock down the enemy doing the same normally wins. Unfortunately I think this mission is made for fireteams.
