Can you "squeeze" due to friendly or neutral models blocking your path? Ie if the path to the right was narrower than a full base width would it be permitted to squeeze through that gap?
You can move through friendly models as long as you don't end movement with bases over lapping Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
Nope. There is a silhouette requirement attached to it. "A Trooper can move through allied Models, Markers, and Tokens, whose Silhouette Template height is equal to or lower than the height of the Trooper’s Silhouette Template." Whether or not they fall under the squeeze through rules is a bit of a grey area.
Exactly. That's why, in my example, I used a bigger sized one to block the road. But yes, you can apply the rule about squeezing, as long as there is half the base width.
Why may you? I think the answer is "the space is not wide enough so your are permitted to use less than your full base". This was the answer in the FAQ: But that very specifically answered the cutting corners question, and I'm very cautious about extending FAQ's.
From the Move common skill on page 9: "The Trooper’s base must always be in contact with the surface on which they intend to move and the space they move through must be equal to or larger than half their base." It doesn't specify why and how that space is half the base, could be a narrow alley, a thin staircase or any kind of hindrance. In the case of the corner, the space is not restricted in any way, so there is no narrow space to squeeze through. Or, at least, I would definitely interpret this way.
