@Hansolo said to me the same thing when he saw the Mukhtar ;)
And I'm also a Bayram player, so for me it's a nice option too.

I just picked up the soon-to-be-discontinued Al Hawwa blister for that. This new Mukhtar is pretty nice, although I would need to replace the tactical platform. I do have to say, however, that it probably helps with the size issues crouching models frequently have. The current Hunzakut blister is in a very similar pose, but is on the ground level. In order to fill up her silhouette, she's scaled so large that she would easily be 7 feet tall if she actually stood up.

My first thought when I saw the platform was that it was so she was more visible on the table, especially if placed behind a parapet or balcony.

Gen Con has been officially postponed from early August until the 16th-19th September.

Hopefully I'll be able to go and get my Crimson Stone box, hopefully CB will also be there to sell me it, but we'll see how the world goes between now and then.

Even this far out, the uncertainty about whether or not a GenCon would even happen, plus the logistical hurdles of getting there, could mean that the Operation: Red-I-Forget-The-Rest still releases in August.

That would mean it's available in the US in the 2nd half of September with an August 'release' So we all could get it at the same time as those at GenCon. That would be fine with me. Not sure I even want the thing yet. I'll need to see the minis... that whole too many unpainted minis thing (Thanks, Defiance.)

Some RPG guy is suing GenCon for banning him, so... It won't influence much, but it's GenCon news. And kind of amusing.

In the next studio update, Bostria is certain to inform us on how the GenCon reschedule will affect things for Infinity.

The renders are very good. I'm happy to see CB is continuing with the grayscale renders. Those orange ones were not flattering. It's a much better Shona Carano (related to Gina, perchance?) but the bar was so low on that. How useful is the unit in Svalarheim? The Mukhtar is good. I haven't added a mini to my Haqq in ages... not counting Rahman from Defiance.

And we got our first defiance FAQ today, so that's nice. A good week.

Ah, the well known rapist, abuser and stalker Zak Smith aka Zak Sabbath (formerly of the "D&D with pornstars" fame, among others) has his panties in a bunch about being banned from a major convention. Cry me a river, scum.

He's a wrong un that boy so good for GenCon.

But anyway I'm surprised it's still going ahead tbh, but delaying to September might cause trouble for international attendees

September seems to be the current "best guess" for safe reopening, the new dates put Gen Con squarely between Dragon Con, Origins, and ReaperCon (and also bang on Yom Kippur which is unfortunate).

It actually increases my chance of being able to attend as we might have opened our borders and be having more than one flight to the US per week by then, currently on 37% having at least one shot locally so I hold out some hope.

Edit: Indy also hosted the Cheerleading championships without causing a super spreader event, is currently hosting the March Madness college basketball tournament, and they're having Popcon, a comic con about half the size of Gen Con, in July, so there's plenty of Guinea pigs.

I think the jury's still out for GenCon - not because of its attendees who seem largely motivated to go, even if there is a solid chunk who are not feeling like risking it this year. The vendors/events will make or break it, because a smaller convention + COVID risks + travel difficulties might compel vendors to not come this year which in turn might either motivate even lower attendance or cause GenCon to be unable to pay the bills if it is banking too much on similar vendor attendance to previous years.

Fingers crossed they actually thought this through, because another round of cancellations and refunds or even just an unprofitable GenCon might be the end of it because I have a feeling they lost basically all their rainy day money after last year.

Gen Con is at least a pet project for
/owned by Peter Adkinson who is still flush from selling Wizards of the Coast to Hasbro, they're also contracted with the ICC and Lucas Oil Stadium until at least 2026.

@colbrook Can't say I follow, but I take from that this particular event has some serious financial backing.
    Good for them.

My observation was rather general in nature, as I look around and see various hobby projects - not necessarily profit-oriented, and not just gaming-related - that went under, and it seems some of them won't be surfacing again, sadly.
