At least two anime franchises have gender-swapped Guan Yu. With the incidence of gender-swapped characters and niche anime references in INFINITY I rate the risk of ending up with something like that as high.
Oh, I haven't watched that show so I didn't get the reference. I go with CHINAH NUMBAH WAN FUCK YOU HAMBURGER MAN as a personal preference. I should use filthy frank more though tbh.
Yes very nice sculpt here. Very dynamic and an unusal weapon, chain rifle on the back and in style with Liangs outfit. Uh and somewhere in the news section Koni gives a little hope for the Shang JI HMG
Not necessarily Shang-Ji HMG, only Shang-Ji soon™. We don't know anything about load outs or box contents. Could be part of a mixed box, blister, or an SWC box. We'll see.
Been a lil while, but I thought I could log in to say - best render I've seen for ages. I'd have been content at appreciating the improved Muhktar, I was happy to see the Karakuri getting some attention (though I'm not a fan of the head piece), but this blew them off the radar (even despite the not-needed tactical rock). I'm sure this will find a way onto my shelf with limited Liang Kai.
Of course its neccessary. If CB makes a box, even better. But at least the HMG - they make effezient, well rounded and expensive centerpiece of a Yu Jing fireteam and let us starving for a mini. And I resist the urge to mention more missing profiles, like Ye Mao Hacker or the Tian Guo (and speaking not of that, the Karhu from SWF is also needed).
CB does have this minor tendency to release primarily the profiles that are not the most played with, though ;) Like Combi Hulang, BSG Gangbusters, ML Zhanying, etc. But then again, they have released the Shang-Ji Hacker so maybe they got the less desirable one out of their system.
We should make peace with there being a tinbot. Tinbot, Then that leaves MULTI (or chain colt i guess), HRL and HMG. It would take deliberate effort and skill to make a bad box.
Unfortunately true . Look at the latest previews. I've noticed many take the Muhktar Red Fury but so far doctor and hacker. Combi Karakuri? I'd only ever used the M12 and now would take the multi over the combi. The Shang Ji hacker was also in a box set with a bunch of PanO figures. I still don't have yet because I can't find anyone that will split it with me. I'm not going to go through the trouble of selling the ones I don't want.
Karakuri are using PanO guns now, but I'm pretty sure most of the reason that they avoid sculpting Mk12 profiles for YJ troopers is that the current design is ancient and looks like ass, and they can't be arsed to properly redesign it.
Like ass is a bit too harsh, at least the parts line up. BTW, the old HMG makes for a convincing MK12. Check this conversion by @Vain
Tinbot is already in the Tai Sheng blister, do they recycle tinbots between SKUs in other factions? I feel like they might try to sneak a Jujak into the box or a Tian Gou
Riot Grrls box and HRL/RF Taskmaster. I decided before C1 was released that I’d buy and attempt to run a link of Shang Ji in N4 even if they were hot garbage, as long as they were actually released for sale. So now I’m basically dead set on buying the next Shang Ji release regardless of what else is in it....
Where do you get your optimism? What was the last box of 4 heavy infantry, Domaru or something? Anyway, CA has at least 3 tinbots. They are often styled after their parent unit, the Tai Sheng Tinbot is clearly a Zuyong, so I wouldn't be surprised if they make a new one.
MO had Hospi and Magisters in boxes of 4. Hollowmen as well. Shang Ji box could end up being Paramedic, Multi Rifle, HRL, HMG
Mixed boxes are the new stuff: If we get a Shang Ji box, I would be happy if it will be an TA box: HMG, HRL, FO + Jujak Engineer but Jujaks could use a box of their own: Spitfire, ML, BSG (Engineer) + Tinbot ;-) If one of them goes in a mix box, they could get the Grenzer threadment and be spread through some boxes. True. The first render of the Trinitarians (MO) is a sniper, I bet the folks want the SMG because its the cheapest specialist. But at least ML Zhang is a nice mini, Daoying sniper is a good alternative now and Zencha Hacker is such a cool mini!
We need some effing Madtraps too! We have 5 different troops that can take them and they've only come out with them with Xi. Who's in a Dire Foes box. Ok to proxy if you just happen to have a lot of Yao Zao. Which I don't.
