BS Attack (Continuous Damage) and Ammo Types

    If Padre-Inquisitor Mendoza shoots his MULTI Rifle with AP ammo, and the target fails the first save, does the continuous damage continue to apply the AP ammo effect to the target’s ARM?

    i had the same question with the asrial a few months back, the answer was yes.

    To further elaborate, if Mendoza crits with an AP + continuous hit, you would roll:
    • 1 AP save repeatedly until the target dies or passes
    • 1 single non-continuous AP save
    Continuous does not apply to the bonus save from crits, but AP applies normally.

    Two armour saving rolls each failing can cause continuous damage causes continuous damage and a third armour saving roll that will not cause continuous damage.

    Translation: Crit saves do not trigger continuous damage. That makes sense.

    DA forces two saves on a hit; both of these initial, non-crit saves can cause continuous damage, but these CDam rolls do not cause two saves if failed?

    Assuming all saves fail:
    1 hit > 2 saves > 2 cont. dam saves > 2 cont. dam saves?

    Correct, you get two saves off of the original hit, but those do not further multiply if they are failed.

    So, on-hit effects (two ARM saves, BTS+ARM save, etc) only affect the first save, any after that only apply effects like AP that modify ARM/BTS.
