Its ok as a start, but I question what that second group is doing besides adding order chaff. I think you are better off using those points to either upgrade the effectiveness of the core of the force or by taking profiles like a trinitarian MSR, crusader ect as you will find that extra utility in the list as a whole more useful long term
im surprised that shona wasnt added to MO's list; isnt she currently training their recruits in the lore?
Our local MO player just texted me this list last night and I have to admit that I would personally play the shit out of that list. Like, depending on table and deployment, you could spend your Impetuous orders on moving your Teutonics with Move + Dodge and then reform the link, which can give you a form of forward deployment (or Angry Deployment). I think the new Teutonic Knights are the best thing ever for MO and I'm really glad for them.
Only issue is the Lt +1 orders are wasted, as they have to be in the same combat group to use nco I think? I like it otherwise though! Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
@herod1204 No they don't but I can see why you would think that, since the writing of the rule is actually misleading at first glance. This Special Skill allows its owner to use the Special Lieutenant Order, considering it as another Regular Order of their Combat Group. To be able to use this Special Skill it is not compulsory that the owner and the Lieutenant belong to the same Combat Group. Like, it's not that bad but I had the same impression like you the first time I read it, so I had to read it twice, lol.

I love the term Angry Deployment haha. Does your friend have an ITS name that I can use to give him credit if I mention it in a YouTube video?
So, the new MO. This update is rly nice, and i will start MO. But i believe it could be much better. Why could it be better - let's see. First, the Crusader Brethren profile. A useless and pointless unit that was transferred to the new edition! Why CB? Remove it from MO already or make this unit work, by changing its profile. Coz now it's worthless! Shame. Secondly, the problem of Jeanne, De Fersen, and Hospi links. Jeanne's profile could have been changed completely, especially considering that she was killed and then brought back to life. Give her a wildcard already. Same with De Fersen. Why? Coz damn Hospi crusade link unplayable. Totally incompetitive and useless on tournaments. Why are they still there? The third one - Seraphs profiles. Seraphs useless currently, coz Tikbalangs much better in all ways. And the last one - Infirmares. Why do you ever put mono-sword on a doctor without any Martial art skills? Remove it already and make it cheaper, coz now it's totally useless coz overpriced and yet this is the only doctor who can go in any link so you kinda forced to use it. Also, i don't understand Indigo brother Konstantinos profile - i think it's kinda strange and can be reworked in a better way.
Can anyone tell me why should MO run anything but Knight Commander as LT realistically ? He brings so much value, and something like Joan is not needed as LT because sectorial is not SWC starved. I dislike when a unit by design is basically autoinclude in all types of lists.
Seeing as the paramedic Cube Jager and the Infirmares have mono weapons I've decided to head cannon that they are for cutting friendlies armour for access. Really big trauma shears.
1. Crusader Brethren are bland yet workable. For example, Multirifle+LFT did a lot of work for me in the past, dropping in the backline and clearing whole link teams. They are far from useless, merely less hot and interesting than other AD troops. Please try using them first before dubbing them pointless. 2. Joan can still bring 2 extra regular orders with her, as well as do some awesome coordinated Pzfs with the Teutons, shoot things dead with her trustworthy BS15 and generally be a great rambo. She does not have to be in the link team to be useful, I assure you. Crusade Fireteam will rarely see use, though. De Fersen... yeah, a bit lacking compared to Mendoza, but yet not useless, if you'd like to combine hacking and shooting efficiently at the same time. Hospitallers are still the only source of BS17 HMG in the whole sectorial - should we dismiss that kind of power this easily? 3. Reluctantly agree, Seraphs could have been better after the SuperJump nerf and not enough of a point cost reduction to compete with the Tik. Infirmarers just point bloated, but nevertheless provide a much-needed doctor for the Teuton link - which will be occasionally useful, I believe. Still, "completely useless" is a bit too hard on them. Speaking of Konstantinos - 24 pts wildcard that is good against Camo and can stack mods? Even with that Combi of his, in a link I'd say yes, please. Also, the Teuton link kinda needs him. Yes! Check out Santiago Spitfire Lt for elite swiss army knife Lt that can join any link, not just crosiers, is a specialist, E/M Grenade lobber, efficient shooter and demolition expert all in the same profile :) Used that for a while, will probably still use him from time to time even these days. Teuton Lt is a good cheap option for whenever you don't bring in NCOs to make use of Knight Commander's extra orders. Finally, Joan does a lot more than just SWC saving, see above.
If you're not taking a Crosiers Fireteam he feels pretty vulnerable. MO don't have many S2 models that you'd start unlinked in the DZ making him a logical target for assassination. If I was running a Teuton Fireteam I might be tempted to take the Teuton Lt as he's cheaper and much safer with the FT bonuses. Joan is also still handy for her free coordinated orders, especially in a faction that now has so many mines, and the extra SWC is handy if you want to lean into multiple Trinitarian minelayers.
I think people should keep refering them as Magisters, there is nothing good Teutons brought to this mix, except for Magister impersonation ;P
And I would had De Fersen when you're a bit in a rush to find a lieutenant while sporting a Hospi FT. With KHD toned down, he is now quite a dominating trooper, shooting good, hacking good and being a Spitfire wielder in a link where you usually find HMG and Combi/MULTI rifles. I've tried him several times and he never disappointed me. They brought the specialist and Spitfire profiles and the Jungle terrain (because 6-2 isn't fast enough). But yeah, they are essentially Magisters.
Would you really use Hospitaller FT without Joan ? Ok, I can give that to Teutons, Fair enough. (also that NCO Spitfire connected with Lt2 and NCO KotHS might be really interesting) What I hate about the nuMO is all those small yet very visible design decisions (unfriendly Hopsitallers, Croisars stealing OS paramedic equipment etc.) made only to make some questionable units (Lazarus, Konstantinos, BF to some degree) any kind of essentiality. Man they could really give Konstantinos a naked MMR or something, that combo Combi+Assault Pistol should die in deepest levels of hell. (they could also give chest mine to KC instead of that LSG ;P)
The whole "if it isn't insanely optimized it's garbage" thing has got to stop. Let's stop being nice to fools who use that argument.
Well, yes! That was one of my go-to since the release of N4 and the cheap Hospi link has done a lot of things for me, as well as the sturdy one (even if I'm not that much a fan of it nowadays). If you essentially want a HMG in core, you can just put Koni and a Lazarus in it, a Sergeant (I usually take the combi one but all the linkable ones are valid choices, depending on how much points you have left) and complete with whatever Hospitaller you feel needing. De Fersen is one of my favourite now that we have access to a cheap Teuton Haris, though. With Mulebots and Peacemakers to expand his hacking range, he can be pretty pesky for AD troops and skirmishers trying to deal with the Peacemakers.
