You know, as much as this update sounds good and I think will make MO much stronger, it also worked a bit like a cold shower for me. NCO S5 HI with no marker state is something I've seen at least four times now. Boring. Probably gonna pass on the army if the KoTS turns out like that.

I read that article and don't understand what the point of Croziers and Order sergeants shuffling about is. Seems like we're going around in circles and not achieving anything of note at all with these changes.
CCroziers will function as cheap OS (so probably no CC tax). The name of "Order Seargants" will go to what we know ATM. as Trinitares. At least it is what I understood. We will know for sure tomorrow.
Um that depends. I'm hoping the merge is best of both worlds. But there is a possibility it ends up as worst of both worlds. Current teutons with a light shotgun panzerfaust profile while still being 21cc and berserk... Is absolutely terrible . If they merge into a ma2 cc22 + berserk role that is 6-2 or 4-4 and has decent cqb profiles then that's much better
Also checking the new Tuetons loadout it seems that the old Teutons are completly dead, and Magisters just changed their name to "Teutons". (new Teutons have 1:1 loadout of old Magisters, Panzerfausts/LSG/ML, no Combi or Spitfire in sight)
I mean, I'm not sure you'd ever take the combi considering the price difference with LSG. Dossiers are also not always comprehensive, or even correct to the final product.
I mean burst and range might still be useful. Besides if I'm taking multiple (which I would ) then that variety would have come in handy. But now it is time to see what was done to the profile .

Well, we're getting more of a mixed bag here, and that's absolutely normal for an update. I expect KotHS to have the following profile: MOV 4-4 CC 21 BS 14 PH 15 WIP 13 ARM 6 BTS 6 W 2 S 5 AVA 1 Special Skills: Martial Arts L1 - BS Attack (+1 Damage) - Courage - Immunity (Shock) - No Wound Incapacitation - NCO - Stealth Special Fireteam: Duo (so he can lug around Wildcards) Likely not much else besides being an upgraded Daiyokai, effectively (also, costing about 56 points) Is it fine? Well, with an AP HMG he can work as a discount Tikbalang, and since there are not many HMGs in MO overall, he will have his place. Considering that Knight Commander will yield him extra orders, it's not too bad. Boring? Yeah. Bland? Surely. But not bad. Holomask for the KC is a great change and makes Monofilament CCW 100% worth it, in my view - since from this point all kinds of infiltrators will have to expect to be cut to pieces by a surprise Knight Commander if they come too close to a wrong model or simply dare to stay in our DZ. Sounds good enough to me, even though Holomask CC Lt is something we've already seen a few times. What I really like is that they are actually listening to the players. It may take a few more balance updates for them to get things right, but with that approach, Military Orders will eventually become enjoyable to play again, just like JSA did over time - and that is really all that matters. P.S. Also, eagerly waiting for Padre Mendoza to have BS Attack (Continuous Damage) on his guns :) P.P.S. Also, for the guys worried about Magiteutons not having any burst weapons - there's always Santiago knights and Mother Knights, err... Knights of Justice as well - both providing Spitfires into any fireteam. We're gonna be fine.
Well, with KoJ and Santiago being wildcards with Spitfire, do we really need a spitfire profile for the teutons?
But part of what makes the daiyokai so good now is being 5 man linkable . People treated it like it was hot garbage when it was a solo or haris only piece
I'm expecting the KotHS to be more than just a Daiyokai with +1BS. That's a PanO miniTAG, not some salvage blueprints of a better project made in the heat of the moment. I don't know if it'll have mimetism, but I think this will be a close gunfighter to what the Tikbalang is ATM. And with CC22 and MA2, at least just like what he has been so far in the CC department. I'm expecting also a Dodge: PH = 11 or something like that, because it doesn't seem that prone to dodge bullets and more like taking the hit without shrugging.
