    • When declaring Move, Jump, or Climb, the Trooper must always move the full corresponding MOV value, attempting to perform the first of these options that the Trooper can complete:
    1. Enter Silhouette contact with an Enemy Trooper during this move.

Does this mean that I have to move+move if that can get me into silhouette contact?

Only one short skill has to be move. The other one can be anything. This only means that you have to youse up all of trooper move value when you declare it (be it from mandatory 1st short skill or optional 2nd short skill)

No, that is only if you declare any Move Jump or Climb, remember that you can declare any of this skills:

Theres nothing forcing you to move + move, but if you do declare move + move, then you must try to enter Silhouette contact.

Just remember that moving into Silhouette contact is checked per move. So when you declare the first Move you will only move into Silhouette contact if you can reach with that Move. If you can't reach, you need to go towards the enemy Deployment Zone, which may mean moving away from a target that a Move-Move might have reached.

So a MOV 4-4 Trooper will ignore an enemy that's 5" away.
