Zhayedan are a unit I want to use more. I'm trying the HMG for a tournament right now, and it's doing okay as a solo piece. I tried a haris built around the HMG and sniper exactly once. It did well, but was fragile, even with regeneration. It fulfills a very similar role to my go-to Janissary haris, and I always manage to to find the points to take the Janissaries instead. Has anyone tried them in a core? I've written the list and was surprised with how much I liked it, but I havent gotten the chance to play it.
Been using them in every game i've played in N4. The core is seriously scary and catches everyone off guard because of how under used they were in N3. Also regen is fun and most people are surprised they all have it. One thing I will say is the breaker rifle profile isn't nearly as good anymore. I usually run the HMG, Sniper, Doctor, and Missile Launcher along with Yara Haddad. The doctor is a monster up close, easily MVP of the squad. I have the most success using them very aggressively and just pushing and pushing. They will win almost every encounter since they are essentially base BS 15.
After battling real life pressures, my pride that was trying to keep me from posting this article until I'd painted all the models for the photos, and a rising stage fright from people looking forward to my thoughts on this unit, I can finally present to you my take on the Zhayedans!

This is why I love the saying "All things come to those who wait." Once again thank you for your insight. I was on the fence concerning the Zhayedans. The only one I have, I painted as a Surgeon in scrubs and white coat, which didn't do justice to the mini. But reading your article has cemented my image of Zhayedan being the "Trauma Surgeons" who, in a Fireteam, can do Damage Control and work both ofensively AND defensively. I'm getting the Zhayedan Box set and hope to field them soon.

FYI, The just showed the render for the female Hacker Mukhtar on the twitch livestream. It looks ace!
Hacker is fantastic! My only fear is if this is a blister, we might never see the viral rifle/red fury.
This. While I like the Hacker (especially compared to the doctor), I'm really just disappointed that Mukthars weren't just a box of four - their profiles even make this very viable. One of each (Viral Rifle, Rifle+LSG, Red Fury, BSG) and you have every profile available to them in a box. But no, we get two in blisters months apart, and that's propably it :(
And then we see product lines brutalized in the name of SKU or something. I mean, I get the argument of "only buying what you want", but it kind of doesn't hold when you release fringe/sleeper profiles before BnB. Or maybe I just assume too much about profile popularity?
What makes no sense is every profile of the Muhktar is good, so they really should have a box. Hopefully this was just the only render ready.
