Been using her a lot as link filler (and hacking/shock rifle threat). But I've totally forgotten about cybermask. Am I reading it right that she should be deploying in Imp-2 state (doesn't matter if she's in a link)?
Cybermask lets you enter the IMP state as an Entire Order, but she can't Deploy in it. Also being in or entering a marker state will immediately boot her out of any Fireteams.
OK, the fireteams part makes sense (and makes me feel better), but this confused me: IMPERSONATION Marker ACTIVATION ► Automatic during the Deployment Phase, provided the user passes any WIP Roll that is necessary. p. 63 Is that only if you have the Impersonation skill directly?
Yes, those instructions are for a trooper with the Impersonation skill, Cybermask is covered by the third Activation bullet point regarding hacking programs.
