In N3, if your lieutenant died, you had to inform your opponent that it was your lieutenant. That was because once a trooper was removed from the table, all information about it became open information. @Koval pointed out to me yesterday that the rule about dead troopers' information becoming open seems to be gone from N4. Instead, the rule says "when the game ends, an Army List’s Private Information becomes Open Information." Are we missing something, or are you no longer required to tell your opponent when your lt dies?
I never thought that was a good rule anyway, so I’m happy to see it gone. It was very silly that if your lieutenant was merely unconscious, you did not have to say anything until your order count phase, but if it died, you had to announce it immediately.
N4 removed the line "Private Information about a trooper becomes Open Information when that trooper falls Dead and is removed from play as a casualty." I am guessing it is intentional. Interesting minute tweak.
