I've always wanted to try a list with the max number of Gecko's, especially now that they're so much better... So obviously this list is very niche and would only work for certain missions (and maybe even opponents). Half the goal is just to throw the opponent and try to steam roll over them before they can come up with a plan. Geckos would be in two duos (not sure if I'd mix MULTI & Mk12 in each, or separate by weapon...) and duos would run up the board and spread in firing positions (possibly breaking links and coordinating into suppressive fire). Gecko pilots are specialists, so could hop out and claim objectives if necessary A Moran and Jaguar each provides support and repeater coverage to the Gecko Duos Jazz and the Lt. hang back, Jazz hacking through the Morans, focusing mostly on countering enemy hackers' attacks on the Geckos. I really don't care that much if I go into LoLt. Since most of the orders are already where they need to be (with the Geckos) The Warcor is just there to keep the opponent guessing whether troops are going to drop in on them at some point, and split their attention Do you think this list could be viable? Would it "work" on any level?
I prefer 2-3 Geckos instead of all 4, it lets you pack in an Evader Spit ENG+MB Lt+Jazz+Dak+Jag link that can be a real pain, plus the 2 Morans. That said, against certain things I could see 4 Geckos causing enough skew to work.
I think it could work for sure. Area control missions for example. The tac awareness makes a big difference.
I think it is very doable although I think that two duos with a Gecko and an Evader would be great and maybe better, less orders but tagged along very flexible specialists that can fix yo Geckbros.
I've already done this! It can make a pretty balanced list actually. The BSG gives you access to close range and clearing rooftops with climbing+, and they get mines, plus Engineer/D-Charges gives you access to objectives the Geckos can't get. They pair pretty well and a pair of pairs can get a lot of work done on each side of the table. Bring good counter-hacking of course, not that that's hard for correg anymore.
