Yeah, you can use the Tactical Awareness order on the Duo without it breaking. It's a solid concept, but you are right about the weak points. I'd be interested to see it run into some more combat-oriented missions 'though.
So guys, rumor mill has it we'll hear something about the MO Update soonish (please don't suck). S5 Sepulchure and all that (yes really, was definitely not an early April Fool's joke or Bostria moment). What do we want to see? Top of my list is a rework of their Command structure. Lt Profiles that do stuff, Seraph Lt Profile. CoC that doesn't cost more than your Lt. A Lt with a kit you'd run instead of Joan or the Santiago (who is somewhat more of a risky tax than a choice). Black Friar Profiles. Look at the guy. Horrendously overpriced by N4 standards, annoying overlap with Konstantinos and MSV2 OS who all slot into the same Link. And ofc no linkability on the Sniper version. Damn shame. We know Sepulchure, Teutons and Magisters are changing (or merging in case of the latter two). Hope that turns out well, Domarus and Tankos got massive buffs, Riot Grrrls got better and Link upgrades. I'd say we can be optimistic their core purpose will still be there. DeFeresen. Please give the guy an actual CCW to make him a real boy. Or figure out a way to adjust his cost a little. Love the guy, breaks my heart every time I read his Profile. Something somethin Order Sergeans. Hands down still one of the worst Linetroopers in the game. 13 points for a BS12 guy, horrible SWC choices, no utility Profiles to speak of, just the no frills MSV2 Spitfire. With Trinitarians freeing up a lot of designspace I'd like to see them have half the utility of Acon Regulars. Their main purpose at the moment is playing KoJ ML caddy (which they're doing significantly worse than his options in Sval). TAGs. Montesa Tik is an overtuned Abomination. The base Tik is already a thing of beauty, contender for best TAG in the game. S7, ARM7 instead of Mimetism, Superjump instead of C+, Nanopulser instead of HFT. Disregarding the Auxbot, I prefer every aspect of the Tik's kit. Looking at similar TAGs just below Multi HMGs - from Scarface, Gecko, Oyoroi and Gorgos to Bluewolf the Seraph is the sole outcast in his class without a gun upgrade. Any changes you are hoping for?
I really hope that Konstantinos will get looked at with the rework. I want Camo or at least Hidden Deployment on his Infiltration profile. His FTO profile is fine, but the infiltration profile really needs something to stand out in my opinion.
Command structure reworked to allow for more viable Lt. choices - different command skills for different Lt's, for example - as well as easier access to NCO. Easier access to Haris teams. I'd love to see Sergeants getting FT:Haris as standard, and being able to work as Haris base, with Wildcards allowing for customization. AVA 2 Machinists, and giving them a linking option. Konstantinos getting slightly reworked, giving him a more clear role in the roster. Personally I'd like to see him becoming a cheap, reliable CC fighter. Black Friars overhaul. The MRifle loadout is fine, but lone MSV snipers aren't particularly viable now. Would be nice to see the whole unit becoming a set of linkable specialists, each loadout highly specialized in something else. One for fighting concealed or impersonating troopers, one killer hacker, one with grenade launcher (or maybe Eclipse GL?) Knights themselves - I just want every order to have their use, and as few deadweight loadouts as possible. I'd like Teutons and Magisters to stay separate, but I'll take any solution that will work. Rebalancing Montesa Tik, because yeah, that machine is ridiculous right now. Getting that damn Montesa biker model :P
Here's a pretty radical thought. What if the "Crusade Fireteam" becomes a new type of fireteam, like Triad and Enomotarchos? No idea what this would do or why, but the idea has been bouncing in my head.
Hopefully it is soon, and not blizzard soon. I'd like a proliferation of TA (just 1 or 2 more options). A set of solid cqb profiles. If hospitallers are the hold the line and defend. Then whatever teutons become should be the advanced link option that kills and takes ground . I guess with the bump to s5 the sepulcher is kinda pigeonholed into a fire supremacy platform. It would definitely be weird if they 180 and turn it into an s5 cc specialist. Honestly want changes to crusader so it is worth considering it. Something done to konstantinos like others said maybe something so he functions like a good partner to DART in the forward operating role .
Well, Kiel-Saan exists, so it might be a (far-fetched, I admit) possibility. Crusaders are ok, I think. Their main problem is how similar they are to Akalis, but it doesn't matter when discussing MO.
dont get me wrong i would love a doorkicker who can shoot his way to the kicking. But i dont want to get my hopes up
There's also the Daiyokai as an S5 midrange gun platform that has decent CC capability (CC21 & MA2) My main hope is that they give it something other than a Spitfire analogue. MO already has the 8-24 range and heavily saturated, give us a Feueueuerbach or something!
I mean I'd take a mimetism sepulcher . Ma2 cc22 bs14 mimetism sounds like a decent solo operator . Nwi to go with the s5 ?
Kiel-San and Daiyokai are exactly what I'm afraid of the Sepulcher turning into. As long as that's not the kind of troop we're gonna get I'm cautiously optimistic. A HMG platform would be significantly less concerning.
BS Mod and more than basic feature synergy would be a good start. Mimetism, secondary gun and NCO with a Lt L2 available rounds out the Mowang nicely. Daiyokai, Kiel-San and Boyg for that matter try to pretend to be a gunner without a MOD and without a high value/performance Link to compensate for it. In a Sectorial where there is no need for a slightly more tanky sidegrade. Imagine trying to be a MODless solo Spitfire in MO. With NWI as your feature. After Holo wasn't cutting it in terms of MODs. It's not like CB has to slot a VIS Mod on it, but at S5 and around the 40-50 points mark there isn't all that much choice outside from filling the long ranged anti armor slot in MO's gun arsenal or bring heavy MODs and compete 24" and below.
