Now that N4 has made ARM and TAGs in general better, have any of you had success with the Iguana Squadron for QK in N4? I have fallen in love with it's rules and model and was wondering if y'all have any tips for running it.

Also I want to extend this discussion to the Mobile Brigada and Alguacils in QK. Have y'all had any success with them? Anyone tried running Alguacils in a mixed link with Ghulams? I remember when QK's N4 list dropped we were all excited about the hacking Brigada profile, anyone get to try it yet?

Lastly, how have you guys painted your Nomad units for QK use? Personally I don't plan on ever playing Nomads proper, so I am trying to decide whether I should paint them my "traditional" Haqq scheme of lots of earthy browns and greens to blend in with the rest of the army. Or branch out and paint them as bright vibrant mercenaries.

I play core Nomads/Corregidor, not QK, but can tell you that Brigada are -dead hard-.

That ARM 5 is no joke, ARM 8 in cover is the sweet spot for resisting DAM 13 weapons well. The Tinbot -6 on a hacker makes them able to stand up to KHDs pretty handily. If you have another actual KHD in your force to double up with you on AROs (or want to stick another hacker in the same link with the Tinbot), the odds are not in the attacker's favor.

For solo HI, it's a good bargain.

If you have the units anyways, you really might want to give Corregidor a try. It's really, really fun in N4. Powerful, flexible, and has tools for just about everything.

The Iguana lost its charm for me when they nerfed the ejection system. Now it's just kind of a TAG that becomes crumby after taking two wounds (rather than the three that most TAGs can take).

Iggy got cheaper, and for a 65-point TAG it is actually a decent candidate for what I call an overpriced TAG-sized warband. You fire this thing into the enemy DZ, burn everything with HFT, and then you forget about it or you pop the operator into SF while in smoke to end your turn. He's not supposed to be your mainline attack piece and thankfully his pricetag supports that. You bully your way through the least defended enemy flank, go into the enemy DZ, and then it's just an armored deterrent for the opponent with the repeater as an extra anti-hacking defense. Problem is, he's no longer the top-dog BS of QK, seeing as Janissary became more accurate. So you have to have a clear role in mind for this guy, but you thankfully don't have to build your list around Iguana, unlike other more pricy TAGs. To me, Iguana is a disposable suicide model, nothing more, and it thankfully takes a couple of hits before keeling over. Keep in mind that Iguana is neither a button pusher nor a CC specialist (looking at you, Scarface, how dare you be so much better), so Iggy brings little to no utility to your roster. Again, he's just a disposable gun. What Iggy does have unlike Scarface though is a DT weapon, so if you are facing a mimetism or camo-heavy army – HFT can save you a lot of headaches. So yeah, he's a nice disposable merc scum that can shoot straight; just don't expect him to carry the entire game for you. As for painting: I did not bother to change the original Nomad color scheme because in my mind a merc is a merc and has no obligation to re-paint his power suit for the army he does not necessarily support ideologically.

As for Mobile Brigada: he's the best candidate for the Uberhacker role on Mindwipe out of all options we have. He's tough, he has anti-hacker protection, and with Fairy Dust, he should enter the nigh-untouchable levels of infowar. So even though my only game with him ended up in defeat, I still consider him to be your best bet for Mindwipe.

Thw Alguacil SWC options are nice, since they are a bit cheaper than the Ghulams and you get access to multi sniper rifles in Ghulam links, what could be nice here and there, so I am quite satisfied with that.
Mobile Brigada is more interesting than in N3, especially the HD-profile reads crazy and would be my go-to Uberhacker for Mindwipe!

Iguana was one of my favourites in N3 and performed good enough, but in N4, I don't see him in my lists. For his costs I can field an Azrail and Rouhani to patch it up without having the trouble of the bigger silhouette. If I want to run a TAG in QK, I choose Scarface. The Iguana is too squishy to be a solid attack-piece and the expensive to be a throw-away piece anymore.

    IMHO, TOTALLY IMHO
Iguana - just not worth it. Better take the Scarface.

    Mobile Brigade
    - best option for a single Hi for breakthrough. i talking ONLY about ONE particular load out.
if you not planing link Hi - take MB MULTI-Rifle + Flamer & move it into midfield.
    why it better than Janissaries?
    * 6-2 move give more options to cautious movement or faster cover ground with shooting.
    * Better ARM gives better survival ability against DTW which really easy meet in a mid-field.
    * Slightly better ammo choices (MULTI), opportunity to make Intuitive attack against markers.
    * it even have now Firewall -6 option if you afraid of Qantronic interference against your breacher unit.
best missions: Panic Room, Armory. also it one of two Lt choices for Decapitation.

With HMG better use Jannisari - he can take some wildcards for B bonus & use higher BS advantage.
For BoardingShothun - chose either of them (if you ever need Hi with BSg not as a Fireteam filler, in Fireteam you have NO MB option)
About MB Hacker - never use it myself, i prefer left hacking for Leila & Al Hawwa. By the way it looks at least ... interesting with his TinBot -6 in N4.

    Al Waziri (Alguaciles)
for sure used them in N3 as a "meat" orders, now i see at least opportunity to fill MULTY-Sniper Rifle in core ghulam link. ML is cheaper too for the same stats he will use. Hacker not such a good as in the past.

my color scheme? well, i use not much models, most of them from the Old times. here all my nomads teammates, using "sand" uniform for a hot Bourak deserts:
