Troops with two pistols usually have +1B when ussing them, those this mean they get B 2 (1+1) in Close Combat when ussing pistols (for instance the Zuyong)?

This seems to be an unintended consecuences of the new rules layout?

    Has it been errated?

    Thanks in advance.

What makes you believe it’s unintended?
Dedicated CC units like Tao Wu, Carmen and Zuleyka also have these mechanics and as stated, they are pure CC units with little to no options of shooting, or except when they are very close

I find it strange that the only way that a single tropper has to get B2 in CC is the highest level of MA (reserved for only the best of the best) or having two pistols... something that is quite common in infinity since in CB they suffer from a extreme case of Akimbo Pistol Sindrome.

Also its clearly a carry on from N3 (where dual weapons give you +1B when shooting).

It doesn't. There is no Twin Weapons Burst Bonus anymore. Full Auto, Twin Weapons, or any other Special Rules regarding Burst Bonuses, are now merged into BS Attack (+nB).

Additionally, I'm not sure if there was a CC Burst Bonus with Twin Weapons back in N3. As I remember, it was applied only to BS Attacks.

And also, there are some of warriors that have CC Attack Burst bonus other than MA, i.e. Nourkias.

Well, that’s actually not quite true.
An important distinction is that MA5 ALWAYS have B2 with CC, as well as all the relevant bonuses, whereas the ones with +1B only have the burst bonus in the active turn.

Thanks for the clarification HellLois... those this mean Martial Arts level 5 gives you B2 in ORA??

It really looks like an oversight that having dual pistols (sorry +1B pistol ussing the N4 terminology) troops became CC monsters, are they costed acordingly in the ITS?

But you can use MA and the akimbo pistol death combo (Perseo for instance)

Martial Arts works in both turns. See https://infinitythewiki.com/Labels#CC_Special_Skill

It's not an oversight, for most Troopers it means giving up on other advantages. For example Zuleyka Nazarova can get B3 with her Breaker Pistols, but is often better off using B2 and her EXP CCW.

Yes, but he won't be able to increase the Damage.

Well is not an oversight because you declare is not an oversight. Its frankly weird that a Tanko must choose from one of its three CC weapons to fight and gets no B bonus but any random thug with a couple of pistols becames an extraordinary CC specialist.

Desperadoes are crazy cheap but have become quite deadly in CC due to the extra "intended" B to their pistols in CC.

    It just seems off. :(

Woah, didn't know that I can also apply BS attack burst bonus with pistols, in CC.

Edit: nvm, I've misunderstood the traits. Thanks for the clarification, Hellois!

You can’t. This is for ‘Weapon (+X B)’ bonuses. Burst bonuses listed on a weapon, equipment etc. apply when you use the item in the Active Turn.

BS Attack (+X B) only applies when you use BS Attack.

They don’t, though. Due to the way Attributes over 20 work, increased Burst generally has less impact in CC than increased CC values. A Tanko with CC26 B1 is going to murder a Desperado with CC18 B2.

Yep I didnt calculate well those high end odds, nevertheless all troops with dual pistols have increased their CC performance and pistols + MA is know a deadly combination.

The Desperado is 18% to wound the Tanko, the Tanko is 50% to wound the Desperado.

    Yes and no

Pistols have a fixed damage value, which is half of MA offers and as stated before you cannot gain B2 in ARO without MA, nor can you combine burst MODs (you cannot use MA5 and +1B from pistols in order to gain B3 for example)

Well, it’s not an oversight because CB themselves say it’s not an oversight so I don’t know what else to tell you.

Even if it was an oversight CB has all the incentives to pretend it wasnt. Thats why I remain esceptic on this point.

Obviously like with any retcon it will eventually develop an inner rationale because thats how the human mind works.
