Can someone use Berserk while already engaged in CC with the enemy, or is this an action that can only be performed while actually moving ("Charging") against the enemy?

That's a post from 25th of September, on the Warcor forums that have been a bit hit and miss when it comes to providing vetted answers. idk why you call it secret ruling, cause in our community (Russian) , our warcors widespread this clarify, it was accepted & all goes well.
That's how secret rulings work. A select group is raised over the masses and given special access. It usually ends badly. More prosaically, in many metas the foremost rules experts and many TOs aren't WarCors. If HellLois thinks a ruling should be made then it *needs* to be done in a public venue that can be referenced.
Was it made in public? Why was it spread in Russia, but not in Poland or France? It's the exact definition of "secret". Imagine I'm a random Russian player who comes to / plays online in an international tournament and wants to Berserk while Engaged. The TOs have never heard about the "but Hellois said on the warcor forum" ruling, when they ask me to link to the ruling I can't because it's on the secret Warcor forum. Yeah, this cannot be handled like that. Absolutely cannot. @HellLois - you guys need to give those rulings in public view.
This doesn't require a FAQ. It requires them to write it down! Simply adding it to the Berserk skill would be most of it. Or at least a wiki entry. Also Impetuous.
Sorry but I would prefer a clear answer not a reference to other discussions. After reading all this seamingly long debate, I assume that the answer is "no, once engaged you cannot use Berserk" but could someone confirm? This really seems a very poorly written rule since anybody with previous knowledge of N3 will assume Berserk can be used when engaged so it should be more clearly expressed in N4 if it has actually changed. Thanks in advance.
That is how @ijw has ruled it. @Mahtamori posted the link above. So that is how it should be played unless and until @ijw is overruled by himself, a FAQ, or a public CB ruling. That said, if indeed there has been some sort of secret ruling on the warcor forum, then unfortunately you can't guarantee that a TO won't follow the secret ruling, especially if they are on the warcor forum. The only way to be sure is to ask the TO in advance of the tournament.
It's really not a big issue. They're likely working on a formal answer with what capacity that they have. For the time being, it just needs to be a good faith discussion before any dice are rolled.
As a former warcor, it's not really a secret inner circle. Yes, we had somewhat more immediate access to CB employees (mostly Koni and HellLois), but people were good about pointing rules discussions to the rules forum so that they could get resolved correctly. Does this look like an off-the-cuff answer that landed in the wrong location? Sure. But the answer and reason given don't stand up very well on their own, and it needs to be in the (very overdue) N4 FAQ. Is this evidence of a behind the scenes cabal? Not really.
