Hey guys! I wonder how interpret "Perseus FTO counts as a Securitate or a Hollow Man for Fireream composition". Can I compose Hollow Men Haris without Hollow Men at all (Perseus FTO has Fireteam:Haris skill)? For example: PERSEUS FTO (Fireteam: Haris) Breaker Combi Rifle(+1 Dam), Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Heavy Pistol(+1B), DA CC Weapon. (0 | 32) KRIZA BORAC (Lieutenant) Heavy Machine Gun / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 54) GRENZER (Forward Observer, Sensor, NCO) Combi Rifle, Light Flamethrower(+1B), Flash Pulse / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 29) Or a Securitate Haris without Securitates (as follows): PERSEUS FTO (Fireteam: Haris) Breaker Combi Rifle(+1 Dam), Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Heavy Pistol(+1B), DA CC Weapon. (0 | 32) INTERVENTOR (Lieutenant, Hacker, Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle ( | FastPanda) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0.5 | 26) WOLFGANG AMADEUS MULTI Rifle(+1B), Chain-colt / Heavy Pistol, DA CC Weapon, PARA CC Weapon(-6). (0 | 35)
Your first example is valid. It is technically a Hollow Man Harris with Perseus being the "Hollow Man" because of his "counts as" status. Since Hollow Men are allowed a Fireteam Harris on the sectorial Fireteam chart, this is a valid fireteam. Your second example would work if Securitate had the ability to form a Harris, but unfortunately the sectorial doesn't allow them to as per the available Fireteam chart. Securitate are only allowed Fireteam Core and the Special notation is to let you know that units like the Interventors/Grenzers can join with them. Perseus having the Harris skill is not enough to allow this team. Another example of this in Tunguska is the Authorized Bounty Hunters. They have the Harris Skill, but are only allowed to Fireteam Duo in Tunguska. The Fireteam charts are available here https://infinitythegame.com/resources/downloads N4->Sectorial Charts N4. Unfortunately just going by what army says can be misleading.
@jfunkd But the second group can be considered a 3-man Securitate core right? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something :)
I hate to revist this thread a week later and contradict my "like" on the answer to this, but after looking into it; I do not think the second harris you listed could form a Securitate core fireteam. Sorry I didn't answer this correctly the first time, but it is confusing sometimes even for a Vet like me. While Perseus counts as a Securitate, he doesn't have the Fireteam Core Skill, and neither does Amadeus or the Interventor. Below are the only units with Fireteam Core in Tunguska, so a core would have to include one of them to be valid to create it. Edit: as pointed out below, it is in fact a valid core because it doesn't require a member to have the "skill" Fireteam core like Harris does.
There is no Fireteam: Core skill, and Fireteam: Core has no skill requirement to form. https://infinitythewiki.com/Types_of_Fireteam They still put the confusing reminder under the Skills section in Army, something I'd hoped they would stop doing in N4.
Thanks for the correction! So strange that the Harris team does have the "skill" requirement and that core does not. Like I said, it's confusing.
TBF they didn't revisit Fireteams at all in the edition change. It's why they're in the Annex. It's likely they'll be updated when the Annex is reviewed.
Which given the current state of things wont be for a while as there are no tournaments happening for them to get information to make changes.
