Okay we just finished scenario 2. I can live with mixed languages, really poorly organized rulebook and crazy scenario issues to try and sort. It hasn't been ideal but we are working through it. We still have some very frustrating questions though... - what is a low visibility zone in this game? Referenced but we can't find the rules. - reinforcements/ respawn...example .if we kill a taiga team and the enemy has the reinforcement points the ai brings the unit back...right? - assigning people to the ship...if I want to engineer my armor I have to be assigned to engineer bay right? Also what does the bed space mean? Any help is appreciated
What? Please explain. Don't tell me there's Spanglish in there or Spanish text in English rulebook, etc?
Low visibility zones mean you can't draw los through it. It is explained towards the middle where it talks about the purple lines and dotted blue lines. Before the between missions section. I dont have my cards in front of me. Do Taigas have the reinforcement or replacement boxes on the bottom right? If an engineer is assigned to the engineering bay you can make engineering rolls. You can also spend Intel packs to buy engineering rolls. If you look at the ally cards for the crewmembers it explains their special abilities when assigned to different crew spaces. The bed spaces are the crew quarters. If you want to remove consequences you need the character with the consequences in the bed room on the ship. Then you need access to medicine rolls from either a doctor in sick bay or buying a geist aid.
Thank you On the taiga 8bwas just using that as an example. Basically if a unit is killed can it come back via the reinforcement rules or only of available
Yep and on the cards and rules plus different words used to describe the same item or card category. It is a fun dungeon crawler game but has some insane challenges around editing and rules organization. We are trying to work through it and after 3 games we are almost at the point where game play and uncertainty aren't affecting the enjoyment.
That's very sad to hear. Sounds like typical editing "quality" of CB text based products though. Gorgeous minis, fine rules and horrible editing.
So there are reinforcements and replacements. Reinforcements is the upper box of the potentially 2 bottom right boxes. Replacement is the lower right box. Reinforcements costs fewer tokens than replacement. Not every unit has both reinforcements or replacements. When a unit is completely removed from the table take the unit card and put it on top of the available units deck. For mission 1 this deck starts with a Nox Hacker in it. At the end of a round you first try to do reinforcements. For example if 1 Cadmus is dead the AI will spend 1 reinforcement token to respawn 1 Cadmus. After all reinforcements are done then the AI tries for replacements. Starting with the top of the available units deck you spend tokens to completely respawn the units. If in the beginning of mission 1 if both Nox Spec Ops are dead and there are 3 reinforcement tokens then the AI will spawn 2 more Nox Spec Ops. If there were somehow still 3 more reinforcement tokens available then the AI would spawn a Nox Hacker.
