In the What to expect in 2021 update, CB mentions a new starter box (with two new factions) coming for Code One in 2021.

Now, since only full-fledged factions - Infinity "vanillas" - seem to make sense in C1, this excludes NA2 in any form. I'm of the opinion that it also excludes Tohaa, as they don't make much sense without Fireteam: Triad rules of some kind.
Which leaves us with 4 mainline Infinity factions not yet present in C1:
    • Aleph
    • Ariadna
    • Haqqislam
    • Nomads.
...and there was a relatively recent Ariadna vs Aleph box, the Operation: Coldfront (sure, it wasn't a C1 release, but still). Given the need to resculpt a number of older Nomad models (Lizard TAG and a lot of the Corregidor range, who are still 2ed/pre-digital. Nomads are actually the only faction - to my knowledge - who haven't got an upgrade to their basic REM box, either. Not to mention they got quite some new troops in N4, who lack models at all), I'd wager a bet that one of those armies is going to be Nomads.

But the other, well... I'd guesstimate a 50% chance it will be Haqqislam.

    What do you think?

Bostria let slip during a podcast interview that Kosmoflot was predominantly coloured dark blue to contrast with the Red of Corregidor for reasons... that... whoops I've said too much.

We've also seen a lot concepts for Corregidor (including new Alguaciles) and a similar number for Kosmoflot, which have both been described as coming in "early-mid 2021" so I would be surprised if Haqq were in the next wave of C1 releases.

Yes, from the information that we currently have, it most likely will be Nomads (Corregidor) versus Ariadna (Kosmoflot). Which is alright as that means that it would be more likely for us to get new Haqqislam blisters as that happens!

Haqqislam will be a very hard puzzle to place in Code One as we have a lot of irregular units, which don't exist in code one. Most of our power comes from tricks and asymmetrical trading, which could be difficult to show in the limited Code One format. It will be interesting to see how Corvus Belli brings Haqqislam and Nomads into the game.

I guess... but it's still a pity not to have Haqq in C1.

Though - Corregidor being one of my alternate armies - I can't complain too much.

I'm more interested to see what the Remotes, Support, and TAG box will be for Ariadna!

Support might be a rebox if they add motorbikes, Remotes will probably be new Muls, but the TAG box? Maybe the Polaris team?

From what they've said of their plans though, that'd only be a few months into the Nomad/Ariadna Code One releases, they're dropping to two factions for the second year of C1 so not to overwhelm the release schedule with C1 products like they did this year.

Releasing a faction for Code One isn't just an Operation set or Army Pack, it's the full set of releases including a Dire Foes, Support, TAG, Remotes, booster packs, and hero blister.

Most likely we'll see Haqq/Aleph Operation box at Adepticon 2022 when the 2021 box & Beyond are split into Corregidor and Kosmoflot Action Packs. Followed by a year-ish of Haqq and Aleph C1 releases.

What would be really neat is 2022 bringing Operation: Sandblast featuring Khanate vs Steel Phallus! Adding the last two "vanilla" factions to C1.

I can also see Tohaa being added to C1 eventually, Triad is core to their N3/4 identity but with the simplified points scale losing it won't set them back massively in C1 IMO. The bigger hurdle would be the Transmutation/Symbiont Armour.

Isnt CB still following the 2 boxes a year release schedule? I feel like with whats already been done, and whats left to do i just cant seem to predict whats coming next for haqq. Or when for that matter too. Hmm actually i feel like the rem racers are a preview to a racinh game cb kinda hinted at. That could be the end of the year suprise, so khanate coming as a gencon box with bikers could feed into that pretty well. Then adepticon could be 2 player code one box for corregidor vs cosmoflot. Putting ariadna and nomads into code one. Then next year 2022, qk gets redone with aleph? And they become the next code one box, then next gencon tohaa gets a box to put them into code one and help re-launch them.

I think the smaller Starmada style Action Packs are a good direction for Sectorial Starters that aren't part of an Operation box.
