    Hello!
Can you Spotlight a Designated Target? In ITS12 rules says "In some scenarios, the enemy HVTs are considered enemy Troopers instead of Neutral Civilians, so they can be targeted by Attacks." Does this include Comms Attack (i.e. Hacking Program)? BS Attack skill and CC Attack skill both have lable "Attack" and Forward Observe has lable "BS Attack". If you can't use Comms Attack (Hacking; Spotlight) against Designated Target can you then Forward Observe it (since Forward Observe is BS Attack)?

I would be interested to hear the counter-argument for why you wouldn't be able to.

The inconsistency of lables confuses me: BS Attack and CC Attack have "Attack" lable, Forward Observe has "BS Attack" lable (?) and Hacking Programs that target enemies have "Comms Attack" lable. I was wondering what "attacks" in "HVTs are considered enemy Troopers instead of Neutral Civilians, so they can be targeted by Attacks" means? Is it only things with lable "Attack" like BS Attack and CC Attack? Sorry, I probably made a problem out of nothing.

A Comms Attack is an Attack.

It's just CB not having adopted common game rules legalese, so they're taking short cuts. We still haven't got confirmation on the details, but skills that have the BS Attack label also have all the rules and labels that the BS Attack short skill has and can be used in place of that skill whenever the rules demand a "BS Attack", e.g. for coordinated orders where one trooper can use Forward Observer and another a regular old BS Attack with a Panzerfaust and it will still count as the "same" skill that Coordinated Order demands. Most probably.

A Comms Attack is as colbrook says, an attack as per the label, but with some extra vulnerabilities and benefits (e.g. Total Immunity doesn't work against them but Firewalls do)
