N4 rulebook notes that there is a -3 MOD to Dodge for attempting to dodge a deployable template weapon and an addition -3 MOD for dodging such a template weapon if it is outside LOF.

    Here's the example they provide:

The mine is currently not in its camouflaged state - presumably the Zhanshi does not have LoF because it's not in the 180 degree arc. However, if the mine were within the arc, BUT it was in its camouflage marker state when it exploded, would the Zhanshi be considered to have LoF to it or no?

Also I could swear this question has been answered before in the forum (I've searched but for some reason can't find it), but the two -3 MODs here seem to contradict what it says on p. 83 of the book, that only a single -3 mod is applied no matter how many circumstances hold true. That would seem to make the above a moot point, because it would be a flat -3 MOD no matter what simply for it being a mine template weapon.

The example is wrong; they pulled it from Code One, where the penalties do stack.

    Do they still stack?

Huh... I'd have thought they'd synchronise that.

They stacked when I asked back before N4 dropped (and was trying to learn Code One only for the purposes of an N4 headstart). I'm honestly not sure why there's a discrepancy between the two games and don't play Code One, so don't know if it still exists.

I'm assuming that at some point they decided the stacking dodge penalties were OP as fuck when they started playing with a wider variety of equipment and they'd made a terrible mistake. Guilangs with MSV1 Shotguns running around in smoke templates dropping mines and shit like that.
