Not much of a conversion, but after some frustration of this K9 constantly losing his tail I decided to do something horrible and dock the tail.
After that piece of animal cruelty, time for something more wholesome: Decapitation! Recently bought a bunch of second hand PanO, including the first starter box. Now, mostly the models have aged pretty well, but there is one thing that has not... The faces. The faces, they haunt me. So, something has to be done. Enter Crooked Dice These heads are perfect at least for the female in the bunch, so I'm gonna start with her. OFF WITH HER HEAD! And a quick head transplant later: I'm considering trying out the other heads on the other models, despite them being male and Infinity generally having, ahem, a bit of sexual dimorphism. Still, won't look any worse than what they already have *cough, cough* EDIT And some experimental brain surgery later: The Kamau got its own type of hat to make a bit of difference (and because I didn't wanna glue the pony tail on the last beret head)
Joining my O12 Cerberus is Kai “Casanova” Leng. I’ve been struggling on how to include Kai Leng in my force for a while now but with Casanova’s excellent rules and frankly awful mini, I took the opportunity. Liang Kai’s mini is so dynamic and fitting for the base of this conversion. I had hoped to find a katana in a backhand grip in my bits pile but nothing presented itself so I shaved down a longsword instead. His head is from the Outrage Nakadai with a greenstuff mask/goggles. Very excited to get him painted up and on the table!
@MrNailbrain That is amazing. The head and greenstuff fit together rather well. Goo job on pulling off the look you were aiming for.
Couple of conversions here: Yara Hadad Ghulam Doctor Palavi Zyah (narrative character from the campaigns):
The guns, you can get most of them as STLs from Monstrous Makings... https://www.thingiverse.com/monstrousmakings/designs
Thank you, I found these the other day but they would need access to a resin printer. I've access to a PLA printer but that wouldn't print these well at all, I'm hoping a bit of time will resolve my accessibility to a resin printer so these will come in handy! I believe @theGricks conversion is based on the Farzan from the new HB starter, she's a tiny model but the conversion came out great - there's a painting log thread for her in the Fan Zone->Miniatures section.
The most up to date versions of the files are available on Patreon (a good chunk haven't been uploaded to thingiverse yet) at www.patreon.com/monstrousmakings. Prints of the weapons can also be obtained from the website https://www.monstrousmakings.co.uk/product-category/monstrous-makings/sci-fi/ Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
Thats correct: Head Govad Sniper Backpack Govad Sniper Pistol Arm from Namurr Rifle Arm from Bashi Bazouk Sword arm (Namur arm would be better) Body is Kovasch from Dire Foes Legs are Farzan legs from HB Starter Rifle is a 3d print from Monstrous Makings.
Hey gang! My converted fiday to proxy for (sigh) Wolfgang Amadeus Wolf. Not crazy about that name, but I do like the profile for my druze. Head is from WG woodland tribes, with greenstuff ventilator. Pretty happy with how it came out. Pic quality is poor.
looks ace. I am amazed how you pepople manage to saw those waists and make them remain so well attached
As someone who has done that alot I can say from experience that some putty/greenstuff/etc...does go a long way to help any non-perfect cuts to look more in-sync. It also helps the piece stay well attached as you so put.
Not a fan of the tiny-sized Yasbir from Dire Foes, so I decided to whip one up from a spare Zhayedan:
So, in N4, my QK Kaplan got a HRL loadout. But, obviously, no HRL model in sight, so... Kaplan HRL, next to (original, 2ed sculpt) Kaplan Spitfire I'm basing him off. Spoiler: More pics A rather simple weapon swap: The launcher is from Eisenkern Stormtrooper accessory set. The aiming optic on it - from 1:35 weapon accessory sprue (by Trumpeter. Seems I just spent my last one :(). The other gun is from Haqq weapons sprue on the Husam SpecOps model, judging by the fact it was used by Odalisques, meant to be a Contender. But, minus the long barrel / supressor, it plays the role of a Light Shotgun here. Initially I wanted to arm him with a handhun, but seems I ran out of these. Well, a pity. Had to make do with what was in the bits box. Original concept was to have the launcher simply replace the Spitfire, but my jeweller's pilers got lost osmewhere, and I wasn't able to repostition the right wrist properly to allow postioning the arm for the launcher. So, here's what I ended with.
