Any idea why the Combined Army booster is more than the O12 set? They contain the same amount of minis, all on 25mm bases. Just seems weird.
I think the tactical stairs and the chunky Jayth are playing on that (without even considering all the flowing coats).
TAG's are like that too, CB has 2 at one price and 2 at another. Quite odd from a purchasing decision standpoint.
Someone on Facebook posted photos of a Blue Wolf and Guijia side by side, and the Blue Wolf is significantly smaller. I think that charging as much for the smaller S6 TAGs as they do for the larger S7 TAGs might be difficult to justify.
The blue wolf isn't that much bigger than a S5 HI. I build a hooksword for him with the likes of a guijia in mind and it turned up way too big. So now he holds a Guan Dao. The claws where completely malformed because they are so thin, so I decided to get rid of them. Could take a picture of the blue wolf next to my guijia later.
Here the pic. As you can see the Blue wolf isn´t much bigger than the Daiyokai, Al Fasid or Anathematic. So it makes perfect sense that the Wolf and the sphinx which is similar in size are less expensive as the Zeta or Cutters.
When I read the title of this thread I was thinking card packs ... Pricing across some of the blisters/boxes of models do seem a little skewed in places I agree, @Fed4ykin Great image, thank you ! My Blue Wolf and Guijia came in the post earlier this week but haven't opened the boxes yet so it's great to see a side by side shot. Nice conversion with the weapon! My idea was to either give him a hook sword, or more likely a Dao like the Guijia version you have there. Whether I can make one is another story, but I find the void zone under his claw hand with his back leg so far back he appears to be toppling over - filling the void with a bigger sword might hide it up in my eyes (or make it worse). Oh the Yuan Yuan in the background with the sword in front looks like he's twirling a in a blue skirt! New conversion idea... the PanO'llerina YuanYaun!
Sure, but honestly I'd prefer a smaller Zeta, so paying extra for the giant grappling hook backpack or whatever isn't a bonus for me. :)
Each to their own. I have decided to buy a Szalamandra to paint in my O-12 colours instead of the Zeta as the only thing I liked about the Zeta was the giant grappling hook backpack.
A bit off-topic but I couldn't find the answer by myself. Is a Blue Wolf pilot mini already planned for release ?
No information on that as far as I can remember, Ill use the "Yu Jing TAG pilot" model from the agents of the human sphere box as one myself.
Yep, proxy is pretty common for such profile, I don't mind it myself. Still I get that sweet spot for unnecessary models ^^
Only other TAGs I have are a Marut (still unpainted...) and Anaconda (stupid base...), so maybe the other S7's are bigger, but the Zeta is just a massive thing. Heavy and bulky, definitely looks better in person than the photo's did for me. Some of the photo's made it look more spindly than it is, I think. Dark blue with shadows maybe.
Totally agree, the Zeta looks better in nature than in the photos, it's as tall as Iguana but more massive, very close to Szalamandra.
