Sorry if this has already been answered. So the Wiki for Mnemonica states “That (a) Trooper must be on the battlefield in the form of a Model or Marker, and have either a Cube or the REM Troop Type.” In order to be the recipient of Mnemonica.

So here is the niche rules question. Say you are running two TAGs, the Avatar and an Overdron. In the Active turn, the Overdron has detached his remote pilot to push a button. In the Same turn, the Avatar dies to a ARO and activates Mnemonica.

    1. Can Mnemonica Jump to the Overdron Pilot Rem?
    2. If Yes and the Pilot Rem becomes the new LT, what happens when the pilot remounts the Overdron?

There seem to be four broad options:

A — 1. Yes, and 2. The REM is a separate Trooper and neither Mnemonica nor LT transfer; the model with LT is removed from the table and you trigger Loss of LT.

B — 1. Yes, and 2. The REM fulfills the transfer requirement for Mnemonica, and since it’s part of the TAG, the increased WIP, Mnemonica skill, and LT status/skill transfer to the TAG on re-boarding (which doesn’t interfere with Mnemonica because the Mnemonica transfer process isn’t involved in this transfer), OR having a REM profile fulfills the first Mnemonica bullet even though there’s also a second profile that isn’t an eligible host, so both profiles are targeted by Mnemonica somehow.

C — 1. No, because the TAG is the primary profile and the REM is part of a TAG rather than an independent Trooper, therefore neither model is an acceptable host for Mnemonica to target.

D — 1. No, because the TAG is the primary profile and lacks a Cube, therefore neither model is an acceptable host.

I suspect that if you were intended to be able to use Mnemonica to transfer to an Overdron, it would have a Cube, or Mnemonica would specify TAGs as valid hosts. So the most likely answer is either “no” or “yes, but re-boarding the TAG causes Loss of LT if the Mnemonica trooper is the LT, and Mnemonica doesn’t transfer.”

    But that’s a wild guess.

I'm going to go with D from the above - having the staldron be lieutenant without the overdron being able to doesn't make a lot of sense and could lead to degenerate situations, such as going into loss of lieutenant when you re-mount the bot onto the TAG.

On a related note, it appears to be an error that the Staldrons for the Avatar and Xeodron are listed as “Pilot” and not “Pilot (Remote)” in Army. If it’s a Remote Presence TAG, the other profile should be Pilot (Remote) for sanity and consistency.
