INFINITY YU JING WHITE BANNER ARMY: Jujak Korean Shock Regiment Jujak KSR My favourite new Yu Jing Design (Reminds me of the armour from Dead Space). I felt like this guy deserved his own national Korean colours rather than the standard Yu Jing yellow/orange so I went for a red, blue and yellow scheme. This colour combo has been used on traditional Korean soldiers throughout the ages. I just had to decide how to break up those colours across the model and in doing so also ended up adding a bit of white and black for a total of the five main colours. All of which, incidentally, are the main traditional colours of Korea, the 오방색 (obangsaek). It's convenient that the yellow ties the model to the rest of the white banner army. Burn baby burn!
That would be awesome. Right to the very day of Uprising 2.0, where the Koreans would leave the Empire :-P. The paintjob on the Jujak is briliant, great idea on the color scheme :).
You mean like a Korean sectoral? I don't have high hopes for that. But who knows, weirder things have come out.
INFINITY YU JING WHITE BANNER ARMY: Dàofei Tactical Section Dàofei Tactical Section The bossman for the White Banner Army. Little details on the armour, camo, plus subtle osl were the highlights of this paintjob.
INFINITY YU JING WHITE BANNER ARMY: Operation Kaldstrom WHITE BANNER ARMY: Operation Kaldstrom So this year I wanted to work on a few different armies (Yujing, PanO and Nomads) and had no plans to expand them that much. Then I got caught up in the hype of Code One and had to get my hands on Operation Kaldstrom, which happened to include two of those armies. It was fun to add some snow to these armies but the white was a bit taxing to do. In the end I stuck pretty closely to the studio colours for the mot part. It was a real pressure to get them all done but I managed to do it in a couple of weeks.
TA :-) For the snow I used Woodland Scenics Soft Flake Snow and baking soda, mixed with Liquitex Glazing Medium. It is mixed into a paste and then dabbed onto the base and played around with until it has a nice shape. I think it turned out pretty fluffy and bright.
INFINITY YU JING WHITE BANNER ARMY: Imperial Agent Adil Mehmut, Special Division This exiled hero has a lot of character. I like his quizzical face. Played around with a few techniques including hatching, little bit of freehand and subtle OSL.
INFINITY HVT: Yu Jing Ambassador The Civi High Value Targets are always the most fun thing in a Dire foes set. The Yu Jing Ambassador is no exception with his slick style. I wanted this guy's impeccable taste to stand out so gave him a green silk suit, offset by pale yellow trim and contrast with an incredibly manly pink shirt and pink shoes. Lady killer for sure!
INFINITY: Dire Foes Alpha: Retaliation Dire Foes Alpha: Retaliation Dire foes always offer varied and interesting painting options. This one is no exception. The civilian is always fun to do and are a highlight of the Infinity range. It was fun to bring the Yu Jing Ambassador to life straight from the pages of the graphic novels. Gunnar Lundmark the Space Wolf and Adil Mehmut the outcast are pretty interesting minis to paint also.
I'm not a huge fan of the red blade, but I must admit that it is well executed. And the other parts are up to the standard you set for your YJ army: gorgeous. I'm jealous. :o
