As planned, the update gave us the Orc Feuerbach. Really nice addition to a Regulars core...

That Orc Feuerbach is an amazing upgrade to the shock army's long range ARO capability. Its definitely worth taking Orcs now in regular cores.

Plus want to drop tr-bot, because it always gets a crit. i'm thinking about bagh-mari sniper or regular-sniper.

EVO hacker seems like an auto include with that many REMs.
I almost always run a Bagh-mari sniper in my Regular link, that girl is scary in ARO and the mines are always nice .

    How about this?

Anyone got any good Tikbalang lists that utilize almost two full CGs? I was able to get to 10/6 but had to use a lot of REMs.

Big link chills in the back while Tik does the heavy lifting. I know it lacks some forward elements, can drop Scylla and a Palbot for a Naga with KHD. That's gives some more forward board control if needed. Otherwise, I'm having a hard time building a two CG Tik list that's not so one dimensional.

Guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

TL;DR post Tik lists with 2CGs that has at the very least a Haris.

I'd mix around the structure and unit selection a bit. For Group 1, I use the Tik, a couple of Bagh Mari, and a whole mess of Regulars in order to fill out the group. Regulars are almost as cheap as a REM, but more importantly, they benefit from link bonuses, are on a small base, and can go prone. This makes them easy to hide. It's also possible to fit a Trauma Doc and another midfield trooper: Minelayer Naga, Peacemaker, maybe even Dart depending on how big you want Group 2o to be.

Group 2 tends to be a Naga KHD, Fugazi, and the Machinist with Palbot.

If you build heavy around more than just 5 bodies for your link, you can easily fit a couple of Camo units and add some midfield depth to your list.

You could easily play with the composition to get additional order or maybe even two (I remember I get 10/7 variation on this list once at Wotan campaign). It's quite easy to downgrade few units to get about 15 points to play with, without hamperig the basic composition of the list. My opponents usualy hates when I bring it on.

I could see that, luckily I have all the models to try something like that out. How do we go about getting more CR Regulars? I find I always need more than the two that come in the starter.

Glad to know the concept isn't a total disaster. I really like the Tikbalang and the idea of a defensive link and solid support crew only make the Tik better.

Lots. It's a straight up active turn monster. High BS, high burst, best use is to punch out opponent's ARO troopers at range, and exploit the openings with your other units. All the usual rules of using TAGs apply.

    I agree.

It's harder to build into a list for specialist focused missions, like you can with a Tik, but if you are looking to simply shred things at range with firepower then it's hard to go past the Dragoes.

They are an absolute joy to use on the table, even if they do get a bit sad when they run into truly tough defensive pieces.

As an avid Tik lover gotta agree that the AP/Shock selection of the HRMC (and B5) is an entirely different beast from the Tik. Having the HFT (compared to Cutter or Vanilla Squalo), still being relatively cheap and that extra 0 Rangeband with higher burst makes for another compelling argument.
I play the Tik more because C+, Mines and Mimetism make for more attack vectors and more versatility in N3.

The HRMC and ARM8 would definitely be a much stronger argument looking at N4 changes compared to now.

Dragoes in N4 with a more affordable price does sound quite good, but currently I feel that the Tik is a lot more affordable, flexible and survivable, while not being weaker on the offensive overall. The Tik is obviously better in fights against lower armour targets without MSV, while Dragoes doesn't have an easy job against heavy mods without any mods of his own.
But, do we even know if we'll see Acontacimento in N4, and if we will, when? I'm not expecting any changes to the rules of the Tags, like extra gear or something of the sort, which is kind of a shame because Dragoes is a bit boring to play.

Like the other OOP factions SAA won't been in N4 on launch but CB are on track to add them all by the end of the year.

The new version of the Army Builder will also have a notation for "Out Of Production" factions, mainly so it's clear to new players that the model ranges aren't available.

That would be an order of magnitude more complex, especially when you consider how many profiles never get a specific mini (Bolt BSG, Swiss Hacker, Acon Regular LGL, etc)

SAA used to be my favourite PanO Sectorial.
Now it's potentially also the strongest.

GDA. We got Smoke. Terrible BS10 Smoke with no Rangeband MODs, but nonetheless we have it. The guy dragging it around is good even without it and we have a very nice MSV2 to combine it with. Might be better in Vanilla with a MSV3 HMG, but oh well. The Spitfire is 5 points more expensive than the MR, but 0 SWC for some reason. Both Profiles have a Knife too, recon there might still be slight changes to him.

Don't think anyone saw a 73 points Dragao coming. Cheaper than a Squalo, 21 Points cheaper than N3. Even kept PH17 and gained an AP CCW for what it's worth. Being a full SWC cheaper (2.5->1.5) is another big change.

Rao Specialist and +1 Command Token is a neat option.

Singh is exactly what I hoped he would be. Useable CC with E/M CCW, NCO, Combi+LSG and kept Stealth. CoC isn't my prefered Specialist option but I'll take it. Akalis are a disappointment, hoped they gain pretty much anything, pretty barebones with a meh Specialist.

Baghs gained Number 2 and getting a BSG Flashpulse FO is great. Nothing to complain, solid choice.

Regulars. If anyone told me they'd become more amazing I wouldn't have believed in more than losing the SWC on the FO. To everyone's surprise the Minelayer Sensor is a point cheaper and 0 SWC. The Hacker got a ridiculous rebate and kept his entire kit otherwise and the FO now has a Deployable Repeater which I absolutely don't mind paying for in SAA.

The Machinist SAA is probably bugged, free upgrade Mimetism(-3) + Terrain Total can't be correct. Solid as usual to complete your Baghs.

Orcs kept the C+ (Firewall) options, which are always solid, and have the Feuerbach as usual. They were a common sight in N3 SAA, cheaper + 6-2 are free upgrades we'll happily take.

    Aleph Troops:

Drakios is interesting. Lack of Shock Immunity Berserk while hitting a bit weaksauce and a fairly steep price don't make him my first choice.

Scylla is a beast. ECM: Hacker (-3), Trinity +2 DAM, BSG and a Pitcher on all Profiles. Choice between EVO HD and HD for the same points is very interesting and ofc she brings her own Bot(s) with Repeaters for very easy Firewall access. Shock Immunity and Courage are nice to have if nothing else.

Nagas didn't change much at all. The only real change is the much cheaper Naga Sniper being a real choice now.

Teucer lost his Marksmanship L, C+ and Free Agent isn't a thing anymore. Triangulated Fire is basically worthless on a BS14 MSV2, but oh welkl he got 6 points cheaper on the FB, 10 points on the K1 Sniper (which I still wouldn't touch). Solid with the option to get Smoke in the list.

Dart is still there, AVA3 Fugazi are still there. A somewhat hidden change is that SAA used to be one of the few Sectorials that hit the SWC cap without even trying and always would have been happy to have more leeway in that area. With Regular Sensor Minelayers being 0 SWC, every list has +1 SWC by default. This in turn frees up choices like another Orc/Bagh SWC weapon, another Sapper Sniper, another Regular GL Hacker, more Nagas, Scylla or Combat REMs.
With Regulars and Fugazi shaving off the points to stock up on all the potent choices in the 20-40 point bracket, all the Mines you could ever want, G:Synch amplified body count and potent ARO as well as Active Turn SAA is as great as ever.
