    Hey all,

Do you have every remote for every occasion, or do you share between factions? Especially with NA2 being so accessible for those of us with models that cross into the lists, that's a lot of bots - more than a bad day grinding in a large MMORPG!

I'm about to invest in another box of Remotes, this time for my new Yu Jing collection. This only gives me two of the remote to play around with in their respective lists. But with all the NA2 sectorials that I could dip into - should I consider buying a second box of the Haqq remotes that I already own so I can make up 2x Flash Pulse, Missile and HMG for options? I might need to reconsider their basing and colours, but I hadn't planned anything too outrageous that couldn't tie in. This way, they could act as Dronbots, Yaokong, Zonds, Fanous, Shihab etc - without spending a small fortune on all the options, but at least keeping the models consisten with each other.

Same goes for the S4 remotes, I am hoping that the new Vostok Sputnik model will be as nice looking as the other Sputniks, this would cover my S4 weapon options (as I dislike the Bulleteer, Rui Shi and Lu Duan models). Lastly Kameel's for the S4 baggage / EVO options.

Your thoughts and ideas appreciated please!

I've used PanO Dronbots and Armbots for all S3 and S4 Remotes since picking them up during N2. My JSA have colours in common with my PanO specifically so they'll match (plus it reinforces the fluff of PanO supporting JSA). I've also been using them in my O-12 but that's mainly because I haven't picked up the awesome Copperbots models yet.

I have a Rudras as well that could sub in for the other S4 REMs, but it's not painted yet.

I use Yaokong remotes from Yujing and I have bases I can attach underneath the S3 base to make them S4 if they need to proxy bigger bots.

When I bought my Bulleteers and Peacemaker they were on 40mm bases, complete with those awful base extensions.

I glued them on top of a thin 55mm MDF base and reflocked them when N3 came around though.

That's great feedback, thank you all!

@Catspaw Not a bad idea at all!

@colbrook I picked up a Lunokhod with Crazykoala's long ago and never built, so I suspect this'll be the same as you've mentioned with the 40mm base and the feet extensions. I plan to use some base toppers so I guess I should get on the look out for a 55mm base, thanks!

@Surmelk I think that will be the way to go! A matte black with some form of linking highlight colour will likely be as neutral as I could get.

My Corregidor use old aleph rebots for theirs. I figure they've "legitimately salvaged" them with crowbars somewhere.
My O-12, since it's a pretty fully proxied army anyway, uses the newer Aleph rebots, with modifications to be the copperbots (I moved the weapons up higher, where the copperbot ones go).
My JSA uses my panO bots. New supplier.

@Cannon Fodder A nice collection there! I like the way you've split them and used whatever has taken your fancy - putting the Yaokongs on the bigger bases might not be a bad way to go if I want Yaoxies before the Vostok comes out. Chicken bots still look a lot of fun, but I am surprised that the newer Haqq remote is as tall! (obviously it's another shameful unbuilt box in the pile) Aren't the Baggage bots supposedly on 55mm?

I own every model of REM for every army, often with 2 box of the S3 model or 3 when they have been resculpted in the last 2 years

So I use the WYSIWYG model for every REM I play

Infinity is like pokemon : gotta catch em all

Hah, you're not wrong! I had to trade up a bunch of old miniatures that've been sat in the cupboard for 20 years just to play catch up with the latest Infinity releases I liked!! I thought I should downsize and focus on a single game, but I was late to the game with REM's as I never used to appreciate the models.

I got the YJ remotes from a used bin when I was looking for extras. I wanted my remotes to be easy to identify. There are times all the faction remotes look the same. By mixing and matching it's obvious they are different. I tried to mod them a bit to make the big guns appearent.

For my NA2, which consists of Druze, Ikari, and Dahshat, I use Dronbots for the flashpulse bots, then de-finned haqqislam remotes for everything else.

I thought about using Yaokong for my forward observer remotes, but I went in for more of the awesome haqq remotes instead.

Cheers! So I grabbed myself a second box of Haqqislam remotes for the Fanous, ML/HMG options, I like how different they look to the other remotes! I suspect I'll build the HMG and ML versions and use the other two as flash pulse.

I hope that the new Nomad Vostok Sputniks will look good, I think I am set on waiting to see how nice the model is and use that for 55mm base remotes with my Lunikhod unless something else crops up.

I am still considering the Kameel boxset but we'll see, thinking I could try and split box purchase just one to save pennies :D

I forgot to add that I've been converting the weapons on my Haqq remotes to be more mercenary by using PanO and Yu Jing weapons on them for extra diversity. The changes are pretty minor, but with the removed fins and mis-matched weapons, it goes a long way to make them distinct from plain Haqq remotes.
