They're sino-japanese pirates so that would make sense, wouldn't it? Or a Ninja-to or similar over-sized knife.

I rather meant the physical proportions. The blade looks like a human katana held by a Space Marine. If he put his thumb over the ricasso, they'd be more or less the same width. That looks like a miniature blade, puny. It's just off to me.

Did you see those Yuan Yuan? They've got curved swords, curved swords!

From my quick googling katanas average about 3cm wide, which jives with the ones I remember seeing at the Royal Armouries (I was surprised at how slender they were.) So it looks about right if we assume he's got some pretty beefy ham hocks. It probably looks too small because we're used to them being oversized on miniatures to avoid breakage.

I mean either he's beefier than a Dog Warrior in his werewolf form or it's a puny short and slim blade. Is he about three times as broad in shoulders than this regular dude? Bicep to midriff, that's about the blade length on that sword compared to Yuan, while it seems to be about 140-150 cm long in this dude's hands.

Like I said, to me it looks off, but to each their own :)

What's with this obsession with a short sword? This is an ill-tempered pirate, not a neo-neo Samurai following the bullshit Bushido that was invented in late 19th century, he's not got a need for a Soul of the Samurai, he's got a need for something to stab yo' face with.
It's like "oh that Crocman has a really tiny long sword for a knight"

Looking at the first half dozen or so results from the Royal Armouries collection online (probably the best English language source for historical weaponry) most of their katanas seem to have a blade length of 580-680mm, not to mention that being a paratrooper/boarding party member the Yuan Yuan is going to favour shorter blades.

A Katana blade must be longer than 2 shaku, that's about 60cm, so a 65cm blade would be fine theoretically

Definitely not a Ninja-to. they have a straight blade and a square hilt.

For the black friday offers, does the action packs count as a starter pack when you get 4 and pay for 3? I want to buy 3 starter packs and 1 action pack
