NuBolts = N4 Bolts They trade bioimmunity for MARKSMANSHIP! Bolts are now a firepower superiority unit. It turns out Foreign Company was an N4 sectorial all along. CB has updated their fireteam options. NuBolts + Orcs + whatever characters you want in full 5 man teams. Almost all the characters can join bolt or orcs teams. Its pretty much become a Pano sectorial with how awesome NuBolts are. Both Orcs and Kaplans now have options to form full 5 man links. The A team characters are all far more flexible in how you put them in fireteams.
Yeah totally, tried this vs kosmoflot today and bolt in link is pretty crazy g4sAJyBmb3JlaWduIGNvbXBhbnkgb3JjKyBib2x0IGNvbiBoYW5uaWJhbIEsAgEKAQUBAwACBAEKAAOFQAEBAASFQQEBAAWB6wEBAAaBkQEHAAd6AQQACCYBAQAJEwEBAAoyAQEAAgUBegEEAAJ6AQQAA4GRAQcABIO6AQUABTIBAQA=
The extra flexibility is actually making list writing harder for me! I really enjoyed the Avicenna, Valk, Orc HMG link in N3 and I think they're still very good but now I'm not sure if they're better split into 2 teams. Orcs being 6-2 now means Valk slows the team down, maybe bring an Orc bsg for defence? Alternatively add a bolt CoC to Avi and Orc HMG. Then have a second team of Hannibal Lt, Valk and Bolt spitfire. (I really like running a Haris and a 3 man core) So many options!
Bioimmunity on Bolts would've been insanely broken, so it's probably a good thing it was removed from them.
The codes in army 7 don't seem to work. Could you post a link instead? Edit: Ah, the codes do work on the APP. How odd. The brower versions' codes seem broken.
The new bioimmunity is certainly useful, I'm glad the old one was gone. Such a niche and often useless skill that was oddly very expensive at the same time. I think marksmanship is a huge upgrade for the bolts.
I dunno, I never saw a unit where it was more expensive than Shock Immunity, Bolts included and they still have Shock Immunity. There was other stuff going on with Bolts. No arguments that Marksmanship makes them decidedly more powerful and takes them in a interesting direction, though.
Then I have no idea why Bolts were so expensive original. Combi + shotgun tax? Overpriced drop bears with very little flexibility in what profiles had drop bears?
20 points for a unit with BS 13, 2 ARM, 6 BTS, and a Light Shotgun on top of a Combi wasn't expensive when compared to other premium LI/MI, that's just what happens to LI/MI when you give them premium stat levels but not key abilities like MSV2. But on the bright side; they now have one of these key skills.
I love Bolts, now my love is justified. They are really good and i finally can run a core of them without the full A-Team. Also, the cheap and better Iguana is nice. Not having your HI operator land in front of a CC monster or linked shotgun is a big improvement.
The new eject rules on the Iggy are a revelation! Controlled deployment and smoke template change the old girl a lot. Now she offers White noise through her repeater and smoke when she drops. Still a bully unit and not a straightup tag, but a really cool attack piece none the less. Señor Massacre and two Varuna Orcs is also a great haris, giving the whole team stealth, which gives them a much better chance in a busy midfield.
Do we know yet if the special division Orcs being in ForCo is intentional yet and not just another army bug?
We don't as far as I'm aware. But they've been in there for a while, and the list is pretty specific - there's only 2 varuna entries. Unrelated question, but I'm pretty confused by our Brawler entry. It has Fireteam: Haris, but AVA 1, and the unit isn't listed on the sectorial fireteam chart at all. Bug?
Fireteam: Haris/Duo is also a special skill so it tends to show on profiles even if the Sectorial Chart doesn't give permission to use it (and even in Vanilla)
Thanks colbrook, just double checking that it's no use in FoCo. HRL Brawler in a haris would be a nice little option.
