    Welcome aboard guys!

I'll use this post to discuss this new edition and write my battle reports using USARF, TAK and Kosmoflot (CHA and Vanilla later).

    Cheers!

After some games with Kosmoflot (loss vs ForCo, wins vs CA, Nomads and OSS), I'm finally reaching a stable list, but I'm still fine tuning it. Yesterday, I've played against a friend of mine, a really good player who hasn't played yet a single game of N4 though, so probably a bit rusty.

Anyway, we played Firefight from the N4 Rulebook, Kosmoflot vs White Company.

    My list:

His one was something like this (pardon me, I don't exactly remember how the groups were):

    upload_2020-10-7_13-37-20.png

I won the roll (thank God for Wallace's WIP) and decided to go first. 1 CMD token down for an extra reserve (Uxia and Teddy Bear). He deployed pretty large, taking the side with a high structure where he could have defended better the LT and his Haidao would have dominated the board.

Damn, I hate linked snipers. I probably misdeployed my FT on the right, but I couldn't imagine a linked sniper and my side wasn't ideal for a move-shoot with the HMG. Uxia infiltrated under his tower. Guijia was deployed to control her. Bear was ready to go in action, directed on the Guijia like a guided missile. 1 CMD token down to strip me off 2 orders in Uxia's group.

Irmandinhos tried to smoke around (one succeedeed), Bear did nothing with his Impetuous order. Wallace's LT order, coordinating the big guy himself, Uxia and a couple of camos, just to adjust some positioning. Uxia ended up behind the tower's corner, so no LoF or AROs to her anymore. Guijia discovered her, but who cares.
Started the assault with some Speculatives, breaking his link and killing one guy after 4 or 5. Then I moved out the link, HMG vs a single Multi Sniper shot and, even if I was out of range, I killed the Haidao.
Bear ran to his target and, with a bit of luck on ARM rolls against the AROs, took down the Guijia, dying at the end of the turn because he went Dogged.

WC's turn was mostly killing Uxia, repairing the Guijia, putting him in Suppressive Fire and repositioning models.

My turn was really straightforward. The core closed the distances with 3 or 4 orders, Ranger shot down a Guilang, the Guijia and the Karhu in two more orders and then moved up on a ladder to kill the Orc. What a beast.

My opponent decided to surrender, as not much was left on his side, giving me a 7-0 win (I didn't kill his LT).

    KOSMOFLOT WINS!

My opponent was new to White Company and wanted to try stuff, especially his beloved TAG(s). Haidao and generally linked snipers are still a pain but I could have deployed better.
I really like the tweaks I've made in my list (adding the Volkolak, moving to Varangians from Rokots, adding Uxia), I just don't know which Bear profile is more useful, but facing different lists and opponents will help me understand.

Take care and good luck with your saving rolls in real life:Q:

Moving forward after some games (wins vs Shasvastii, OSS and White Banner, draws vs Hassassin and Tunguska), I took part to a 11-players event last Sunday. Scenarios were Annihilation, Supplies and Firefight from N4 Rulebook.

    I brought these two lists:

    immagine_2020-10-27_101534.png

    upload_2020-10-27_10-21-0.png

Wallace is no easy target to kill, so I didn't bring a CoC (needless in Firefight). Both lists have the same FT (to me the best you can field in Kosmo), Uxia and Polaris Team as attacking pieces, while differing in the midfield or specialists department.

First game was Annihilation vs JSA.

The list is correct but I don't honestly remember how the groups were.

I went first, deployed everything in an aggressive position with the camo covering the strict angles between the midlane (lots of houses and crates there). He tried to cover every spot, but Uxia found one where infiltrating was okay, just under his Core tower.

With Bearpode, Uxia and Volkolak, I killed 4 or 5 orders (Keisotsu ML, Kempei, Ryuken SMG, Baggage Bot and probably something else), losing Ranger to a lucky crit from the HRL Ryuken.

His turn is pretty simple. Pushing Yojimbo on one flank up to my DZ, trying to kill more stuff possible, and the Haris on the other flank, to go for Wallace. Yojimbo lost many orders killing a Rokot and the surviving Uxia and died to a couple of shotguns from the other camos in that area.
The Haris faced a SAS and then a Rokot, losing the Domaru. Karakuri decided to go solo, moving up the tower to face the Caledonian hero. No easy task for her, Wallace was still alive at the end of the turn. I should have deployed better on that flank.

Wallace decided to engage the doll and, after some orders, she was pretty much dead, while a Rokot and the Volkolak failed to kill Yuriko. A SAS moved fast across the board to kill a Baggage bot and the Ryuken HRL. The rest had pretty much moved around.

Oniwaban found the shortest route to go on Wallace again. After killing the alive Rokot guarding the stairs, he went up and faced in a honorable duel William. I completely forgot the NBW, so we both rolled very low and he won the FtF.

Being in LoL, I could just kill both his Keisotsu HD with a Varangian, but lost the game 5-3, after his Domaru LT killed some of my remaining orders.

I left him with 52 points, if I didn't have forgotten NBW on Wallace I've probably could've won or at least tied the game.

    5-3 for JSA!

Second game was Supplies vs Shasvastii. His list was something like this:

    upload_2020-10-27_11-9-52.png

Unfortunately, I'm dumb and I don't remember what the last order was. Probably another Shrouded Minelayer, changing some profiles a bit.

Anyway, I won the roll (WIP 15 is so cool!) and went first again. Table is pretty weird, with lots of open spaces and round towers. I had to deploy the FT inside a house, Wallace prone on a small silo and my specialists as near as possible to go for the supplies. Uxia infiltrated behind a house.
He tries to cover a bit with mines, putting the rest of his list well hidden. Risky roll on the Speculo to put her with my FT. Hello friend!

My first turn was very strong, I killed around 5 orders again (especially the little sneaky bitch) and took a Supply box, without losing anything.
He reacted killing Uxia but the SAS with the box avenged her killing Sheskiin in CC. Turns out that D-Charges are pretty strong on a disgusting Arm 1 alien lady. His Shrouded FO took a box too.

On my second, things go crazy. Bearpode went full rambo mode, killing a Taigha, then another camo, an Ikadron and his Mentor (thanks to an Intuitive attack) and dying afterwards thanks to Dogged. Some dead bodies later, I could call it a turn.
Being in LoL with like 4 orders, he couldn't do much except trying to kill something but failing.

On my third turn, I killed the remaining orders and applied SAS to Shrouded FO's face. The third box is mine!
His Shrouded regenerated but failed to kill my SAS.

    10-0 for Kosmoflot!

Third game was against Military Orders in Firefight.

    upload_2020-10-27_11-54-4.png

Again, I'm sorry but my memory is terrible and I just can't remember the last 5 points.

Winning the roll again, I went first and left him the better DZ. Lucky me, he has no midfield or infiltrators or similar stuff, so I can deploy pretty wide and aggressive.
He puts the core on a tower, the hidden guy on another and the Haris behind a house.

Uxia was a bit dead-woman-walking in this game, given the high numbers of MSV in his list. So she just went on a member of the core and blasted him to death, dying from all the AROs. Without his +3 bonus, I removed trivially both the Spitfire and the Sniper, using the Ranger.
Bearpode took a wound from the hidden sniper but then found a safer way to go and crush his Haris in CC, leaving only one Magister alive and dying at the end of the turn because of Dogged.
He didn't have much to do except for pushing his Magister up to my core and killing all of them, except for Ranger. Again, a Rokot being MVP here, killing the Magister in a couple of AROs (he saved every single shot from my core though!).

UKR felt the rush of Patriotism and proceeded to kill Bulletteer, Fugazi, Trinitarian and the last member of his core, ending his death streak in my opponent's DZ. I've put him and William in SF with Wallace's order.
His turn is all around trying to kill the Ranger with Joan but failing to do so.

On my third, a SAS FO and Ranger combined their forces to kill Joan. My opponent conceded.

    10-0 for Kosmoflot!

I ended up second with 23 Tournament Points, killing more than 800 points. I was lucky to win the roll every game, that probably changed a lot of my performance.
I really like how Infinity is right now, way more aggressive and brutal, so less super defensive lists around and more killy stuff. I hope though that the new ITS will be more focused on Specialists and elaborated scenarios (Annihilation is complete crap), so players will be obliged to move away a bit from the break bones-smash faces lists.

    Anyway, thanks for reading guys!

Take care and good luck with your saving rolls in real life:Q:
