Is there a particular reason why you use the Kameel over the Fanous? May it be the baggage? What does the Rafiq that could not be done by Leila or even a humble Barid KHD, which would free up points for the Assawira as a premium Spitfire platform and decent melee piece. But I don't want to mess up your intentions too much! Gesendet von meinem ASUS_I01WD mit Tapatalk
I really like this list! i've never tried a core link in group 2 but it could be viable! I think i'll use this list thursay evening... ;) i have one question for all: is the guided missile strategy a viable option for hassassin? we have a good hacker coverage and some forward observer... the opponent must keep a certain distance because of the missile area and we can take adantage of it with the fidays
I dont know what the author of the list intended but rafiq is an amazing sensor platform and helps with discovering nasty groups of markers
I think it's too early to tell how important a role guided missiles will play in N4 with the new Spotlight. We'll find out from experience. In the meantime, this thread has some good discussion of the pros and cons: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/counterplay-to-guided-missile.38050/ The overall thought seems to be that going for a pitcher->spotlight->guided attack will be very order intensive. It's not likely to be worth the orders. That said, if you want to give it a try, Hassassins are one of the best factions for it since we have linked pitchers. I suspect that Guided will be more useful as an opportunistic thing rather than deliberate attack strategy. If your opponent comes after you with anything non-hackable, you're going to Spotlight them whenever they're in your hacking area, anyway. If they haven't reset before your turn, you might as well drop a guided missile on them if you've got one in your list. The real problem is that the missile bot takes up one of your 15 slots, and doesn't do much else. In N4, that's a big deal. I think those bots will be a lot more viable in factions like IA who can use the bot as a wildcard in a link. Now the bot isn't using up a slot - instead, it's performing a valuable function by reducing the overall cost of the link. If you happen to Spotlight someone and get to drop missiles on them, that's just a bonus. tl;dr: There are too many other things I'd rather put in my list for 16 points, so I'm not likely to start bringing a missile bot. But I might reconsider if I start finding that units sit around in the Targeted state a lot in N4.
Mostly: 1. Use some SWC and get a higher burst weapon (Red Fury) 2. Repeater 3. Sensor 4. Triangulated fire if needed 5. Forward Observer/Specialist I just personally love the Sensor bots, especially when they have a good weapon. As for the Fanous vs. Kameel, they are interchangeable, its just the first one I clicked. Fanous could do ARO duty though.
Confirmation of the viability of the Govad HMG smoke link: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...ense-zero-visibility-and-msv1-interact.38310/ Unfortunately it doesn't work against a linked ARO piece, which tend to be the most dangerous kind anyway. Still, it's an increase to the upper bound of Hassassins' long-range active turn power, and worth considering for anyone who likes to shoot things. You still give up a lot to be able to put a Govad in your core - no Barids, no Ghulam NCO. So you either pay extra for the Muyib smoke launcher, or leave your smoke outside the link. A Mutt deployed near the core would be perfect for defending it from CQB attackers in the reactive turn, and throwing smoke for it in the active. I'm not likely to try it myself anytime soon, I'm too enamored with my Barid link. But it will be an appealing option to consider. Also worth noting that the Govad HD and KHD are immune to Oblivion, so giving up the Barids wouldn't be entirely a downgrade.
I hadn't considered the ramifications of Veteran on a hacker when considering the Govad, but you're right, it's a useful skill if you wanted more hackers than just the barids in a list. Interesting. I'll need to give this some thought.
Hello, I want to share "my list" and the experiene I had yesterday in a small tournament. Hassasin is in "good" healt right now. The changes and the new toys allow to us "use others units more than the fiday duo". The list: gZIQaGFzc2Fzc2luLWJhaHJhbRQgSGFzc2Fpbk40ZW5ycm9jYWRvc4EsAgEKAIFHAQMAAIFHAQMAAIFHAQYAAIEtARMAAIEtAQ4AAIFJAQUAAIFJAQQAAIFJAQQAAIFIAQQAAIYMAQEAAgUAgUMBBgAAgUMBBgAAgUMBBgAAgUMBBgAAgVQBAgA= https://infinitytheuniverse.com/arm...AAgUAgUMBBgAAgUMBBgAAgUMBBgAAgUMBBgAAgVQBAgA= I losed the first match and won the other two. It is a non Fiday list same as I used to play in N3 because the weakness our impersonators had against aliens and made to be resilent against "heavy targets" as Achilles or TAGs, specially going second. The configuration can change, but mainly the fireteam core will be formed by 2 ghulams, 1 asawira spitfire, 1 asawira doctor and the Muyib heavy rocket launcher. The haris will be formed by Asaw. Spit, Yara and Lasiq. Both Muyibs will place the mines where more protection can provide us and they will be place where we can use it as replacements for our fireteams. The ghazi and the daylamis will be our "main shield" in ARO. The core can provide "smoke" to covert the haris or even to itself. If we want to try the "smoke combo" then we can put the doctor in the haris and Yara into the "core". The list have no surprises for the enemy, but is hard to crack. First Match (betrayal mission number one) against Shasv. It was a hard confrontation, the 4/3 result was witness of it. I had some troubles with a "shrouded hacker" and some repeaters. Until 2 asawiras were isolated before I could kill the hacker and the rems with repeater. I discovered in a hard way the powerfull tool spotlight has become in N4. And yet, the game was decided for a couple rolls: hard and funn :) I can't ask for nothing more. Conclusion: becareful with "hackers" and "gizmokit" (the plasma reaction dron was bring back to live 3 times!!) Second Match (betrayal mission number two) against Kosmoflot. Hard as the first one, but in this case because the lot of casualties both players suffered in the first round. Almost half of our points were gone before to start the second round. The haris was almost what I had, so I use the orders to kill a couple of enemy troups and wait for the second turn of my rival, which had almost nothing powerful or long range, only SAS and Varangian. He tried to put down my latest two asawiras, doctor and spitfire, but they resist until the end of the turn. So we finished the game in that moment. Conclusion: Unknow Ranger is now a beast. Becareful with the bear. Third Match... Custom Mission. Basically: push buttons + take the enemy balize and run. It was a "civil war", hassasin against hassasin. First turn wasn't too deadly for me, I did only 2 casualties, my rival did pretty much the same, but one of the casualties I recived was my Lt, so my second turn was played in Lt loss. My asawira haris was capable of resist the hassasin TAG hmg (he had the good range, less than 40cm ) and covert. My latest turn I moved the full reformed core and marched until the half of the table killing as much as possible and pushing buttons. The remained specialist of my enemy was too far from the consoles to catch any of then with only 4 orders. Conclusions: Becareful with little daylamis camo, shotgun can be really dangerous against Light infantry as Ghulams. Asawiras did pretty well and same could be said about the daylamis. Right now our "HI" is really amazing. It was in N3, but now is... "AMAZING"!! :D
Yes, I should do it, but I really have no idea of what to pull out the list... None of the configurations convince me. I need to do some changes and try again. I didn't use hackers in this "early N4" because I didn't in N3, so I must to adapt my playstyle to N4, the "new hacker Era" and what my locals around me will play. I will keep the Barid in mind. Thanks!
I'm in the same boat. Never used hackers in N3, so the infowar is totally new to me. Learning a lot and making lots of mistakes, which is the most fun stage of anything new! So, as a new hacker, my impression so far is that linked Barids are really, really good. I've been putting one HD and one KHD in my core. Going first, with Yara in the link they can basically start in range to pitch B2 repeaters that reach the enemy DZ and then Trinity(-3) their hackers. If needed, once the pitcher is down you can cancel the fireteam so that the victim doesn't get a free ARO against the other Barid, then reform it once the murder is complete. A couple of days ago I also had the pleasure of making an Omega Isolated, Immobilized, and Targeted in its DZ before killing it in one shot with Yara. But that's probably an extreme case. The Barid KHD is also extraordinarily cheap. Compare it to the Cyberghost KHD, it has +1 BS, Trinity upgrade, linkable, and is cheaper. And that's vs. O12 which is famous for its hyperoptimized units.
I ran this at the LGS this evening: gZIQaGFzc2Fzc2luLWJhaHJhbRtBc2F3aXJhPyBJICdhcmRseSBrbm93ICdlciGBLAIBCgCBSQEEAACBSQEFAACBSQEEAACDUQEBAACBRwECAACGDAECAACBSQEFAACBLQEOAACBUQECAACBUQEEAAIFAIE+AQEAAIFDAQYAAIFDAQYAAIFDAQYAAIFDAQYA Just to note, the lieutenant choice is highly flexible. It can be the Muyib, Barid, Yara, either of the Asawira spitfires or you can sub out Leila Sharif for a Govad Lt. With that said: it felt obscenely strong. Will be continuing to test.
Played my first game of N4 yesterday. Using this list. gZIAE0hhc3Nhc3NpbiBEdWFsIExpc3SBLAIBCgGBOAEEAAKBOAECAAOBTwEBAASBQwEGAAWBQwEGAAaBTAECAAeBTAEDAAiBPgEBAAmBUQEEAAqBLQEKAAIFAYFJAQQAAoFHAQYAA4EtAQgABIEtAQ4ABYFHAQMA Went up against PanO running a list with a Squalos and a Cutter. We were still learning the rules for N3 when N4 came out so now we're relearning. We got a few things wrong but it went pretty well. The Cutter was the biggest pain. My hacker couldn't roll a success all game. My panzerfaust weren't much good against the TO. I got a Fiday in CC, but he Crit me on the first CC attack. The other Fiday did strong work eliminating cheerleaders. My link handled the Squalos well. I won in the end but I'm going to tweak the list. There's definitely stuff in other lists posted that I would like to add but don't own.
So what do you do with that list vs Achiless+Andromeda going first under counterintelligence for example Or Duroc+Uxia+Polaris Daylami dont always roll crits And going first vs msv aro pieces - just coordinating daylami?
I am not impressed much by 24" effective range guns thats all (even when Yara's strategic dep helps) Smoke as gap closer doesnt work against msv aro and 6" cautious to get into proper range is table dependent as well when a list is declared to be "obscenely strong" I always ask the question what it is going to do against proven strong strategies and typical scenarios and with all HB lists the question is surviving going second because daylami are great but may not eat enough orders from the enemy
