Thank you! Not sure if I can add anything to the painting guides out there, so many better painters around. But I am happy to help with any color receipts, if anyone is interested in any color-mixture. To get this thread going again, let me post my Valkyrie. Hardest attack in the game, unmovable like a rock and coolest sunglasses around Paintingwise I tried Gold NMM here, but I think I need to go even darker in the brown. Happy for any hints and tricks here!
@Croepoek That is a real nice shade of purple-pink on Valkyrie. Any chance to expound on which paints where used in it's creation?
Thank you. Happy to share the layers and colors used: The colors are all Vallejo MC, mainly from this set: https://acrylicosvallejo.com/en/product/hobby/sets/fantasy-color-series-en/imperial-purple-74104/
@Croepoek thanks for this. Looks like I should get/find Lipstick since that seems to be used the most & I have Ivory & White.
Thanks for the info. Do you think the app is worth joining the digital painting thread ? If so, please share some extra info there so I can update the main post.
Yeah I think so, I find it super helpful for keeping track of color mixes. Let me do a short write up in the coming days
Thanks a lot. Don't spend too much time on it. As you may have already noticed, I keep the content pretty simple like a Pros/Cons and features list, but if you feel like doing a full review, it is also welcome.
"Crush, crush, crush! Crush those tiny pillars!" is probably what Hammerhead is thinking Painted him in darker colors on the armor to get a better contrast for the glowing eyes and green cables. What do you think? Happy to hear some C&C
Dark scheme works great. I would add some touchups or more pure white to the center/reflections of the OSL (but it would be the picture not showing the full range of contrast on the mini). BTW, great work!
Only three years have passed Finally found the courage to paint 8 Ball’s alternative skin. Did a lot of testing techniques on this one to improve my painting going forward. The kraken is watching all of you!
Thanks, appreciated! I invested some time in theory and practicing some skills and techniques. But also found that a good quality of cast and material really makes a difference for me. Way easier for me to get good results.
