    Do special LT skills, such as LT +1 Order of the Avatar, transfer when a Mnemonica LT dies?

    Lieutenant says: "When a new Lieutenant is appointed (due to LoL, CoC etc), they gain the Lieutenant Special Skill, with no additional abilities." and "In the unit profile, this Special Skill may have additional abilities listed. Some examples are... (blah blah +1 order text)"

    Seems pretty straightforward, but the word I notice is "appointed". A new LT is "appointed" when the old LT dies and Loss of Lieutenant happens. Alongside some rule text that remotes cannot be appointed, these are the only two uses of that word in the rulebook.

    Mnemonica does not appoint a new LT, instead it will "transfer his own WIP value, along with the mnemonica special skill and the LT special skill (if applicable), to another trooper..." and "If the mem trooper was also the army's LT, the host becomes the new LT". There are two different rules there, one transferring LT special skill and the other dictating that they may actually become a LT.

    I look at Chain of Command as it works similarly. It says; "This special skill allows its user to automatically become the new Lieutenant of the army list, gaining the LT special skill with no extra abilities". This rule specifies the loss of abilities.

    What do you guys think?

    I think if the intent was for the extra abilities to not be transferred, that language that is used in other situations you mentioned (CoC, LoL) should be there for Mnemonica as well. However, as far as I can tell, the only other situation besides the two listed in your first quote that "etc." could be referring to at this time is Mnemonica.

    Conclusion: As written, I can see an argument for the additional abilities being transferred with Mnemonica, but I don't think that was intended.

    I think this is no different from N3's Executive Order and I think you got the same answer from IJW as I did back then, only back then it was a separate skill and now it's a modifier that gives you extra orders;

    I think there is a difference between "I am NOW the master!" and "Assuming DIRECT CONTROL!". As is worded, both in spanish and english, I'd feel better with an official answer from @HellLois if possible.

    As it is, I think the modifier would not transfer, but we are not talking about another troop becoming the LT, instead we are talking about the EI's consciousness switching bodies; plus we don't know if the modifiers are built into the skill or the troop (you are paying for the Mnemonica skill, after all), and until an official answer is provided... it will be as the TO decides :S

    In N2 and N3 the "no extra skills" wording was to remind you that you don't get to keep strategos when you jump bodies. The way I read things, the (+1 order) modifier appears to be part of the Lieutenant skill. We would be having a similar conversation if they had upgraded the Avatar to have Lieutenant L2 in N3 as well.
