I'm looking over Andromeda & D-charges and I have a feeling this is a little too overpowered to be legal. Is there something I'm missing? She Infiltrates at a +6 (final target value of 15) deploys next to the DZ, in a single move can usually get in range of a juicy target. CC using guard & MA L3 for a target value of 24 while imposing -3 from MA, and potentially another -6 from mimitism & cover. Then does 3 (4 if a crit) dice of 17 AP damage(+1 native, +2 from MA). This is a whopper of a first strike attack, or is there something I'm missing.
D-Charges do not get extra damage from MA, they have a fixed damage value that doesn't depend on PH. Otherwise you seem to be correct (though there are stronger first-turn assassins like this, she is no longer a slouch)
Is there a spot in the rules which mentions that MA don't stack with 'fixed' values. A good chunk of my LGS is french and doesn't read the forum and can use the reference for discussion. Or will this be in a FAQ later on. That was my next question.
Just look up Martial Arts table and notice how it gives bonuses to PH. Page 102 Below that image you'll also find this bullet point: ◼ Damage MOD: A MOD to the PH Attribute of the user to determine the Damage of a successful CC Attack.
That refers to CC weapons having a damage value equal to the users PH. D-charges have a flat damage of 14.
What makes it even more fun is if you're going second you can do all that and put her as a suppression unit right outside there DZ in cover for a command token. That means they're on -9s if you suppress shoot.
