Tanko going from 23 to 17 points was pretty nice. so, i dunno, 17-18 points? current magisters don't seem like they have the current points formula applied to them, so i would probably start there. Give all profiles a DA ccw, give one an smg, another a LSG and replace the panzerfaust with a flammenspear on the smg profile. missile launcher can stay as is.
I dont think they just meant points going down. Hyperdynamics going away most likely. I dont know what else they may cut.
I assume you mean the dodge +3? if it gets cut, it gets cut. it was always a defining point of the magister knights but if it means their BS gets bumped a point or two and they go down in points im all for it. while we're at it lets give them 6-2 mov too.

thank you for the information. :P regardless of the cheekiness- new edition means old preconceptions like "Magisters are defined by Dodge+3" are out the window and im all for it.
We don't have details if that's gonna be something tame like Fatherknight->KoJ or Haramaki->Tanko. All we have are assumptions and that Magisters *as we know them* are dead. Given their existing role and purpose my best guess is they remain fairly similar but go down in AVA and gain Wildcard to enable other Knights.

Updates to MO always feels like a DBZ fight "In the next episode" how many is it taking to have a good solid sectorial lol. Im just worried about lack of timeline
Hospitaller + 2 Magisters is very playable Magister MSL + OS core is very playable 3 Magisters + 2 Hospitaller/Koj/2Teutons is also very playable. I'm all for squeezing more orders out of MO lists while retaining ARM and Wounds on table. It does kind of feel like a carrot dangling in front of our faces though at this point, Though MO has been slowwwllyy getting better with each increment.
Actually no. It would be just sad to see old good and reliable Magisters to go ;P (and their ugly and disfunctional brothers to stay) Either way, seems playing "case of MO" is really rollercoaster of emotions ;P
I mean I for one like MO as it currently is and hope magistet changes are akin to father knight changes. Ie minimal Then again, im not constantly trying to run the HI focused sectorial as if HI dont exist by spamming support LI and MI and expecting them to carry the list
