    I know.
I've meant that I always wanted it for them to justify their cost and show their skills in CC. And it's good they got it, good they got Bioimmunity and are a bit tougher, good they all got +1 DAM, but not good they also got points increase in many options.

I really like them as a kind of symbol of Haqq, unit that looks like a true Haqqislam soldiers. They are so great, that they were the main part of almost all of my armylists when I played Ramah. And they usually did good job and I had decent results.
I play units I like, not always the best ones, that's why I played many battles in N3 using Zhayedans, Fassids, Azra'ils, Maghariba et cetera.

But sometimes I just can't ignore that some options are clearly worse than others. So I can be a fan of them, but when I needed a good FO for scenarios, that can be a hunter and also a survivor, and also work alone, I didn't take Khawarij. I took Mukhtar and he did great. It's not easy to justify using Khawas - other than liking them - and it's a bit sad.

I agrred with that. It would be great that we can mix supersoldiers in a fireteam. Namuur count as ghulam and khawarijs too. It´s a shame that we need to lose core ghulam for mixing them, especially when ghulamsare our reservoir orders. With that in mind, at least CB can give us fireteam mix khawarijs and namurr.

    Greetings

I cannot agree ENOUGH with the idea of Khawarijs and Zhayedans being wildcards... that would give RTF enough flexibility to deal with most adversaries and we would see some different combinations on the table. Right now it is shaping up to be very "one trick pony"ish

I had a play around with RTF last edition, although not enough to make any definitive statements.

Everyone agrees that Mukhtars are golden.

I had some success with a Tarik + 2 Khawarij team. Usually the Mk12 and Doc profiles but I'd often have the HRL in a Ghulam core so could swap it in if it looked like the Haris was going to have to cross some longer firelanes.
Its expensive but if you could get into a position to leverage the super jump it was pretty nasty and 3 guys is easier to manoeuvre than 5.

RTF does dakka great and revels in the active turn; however, when reacting RTF struggles. So, can RTF not abuse Flash Pulses in the reactive? We have Muktars, Kahwarij, Rouhani, and Fanous and out of those profiles I was able to have 13 F.Pulses.

    Would 13 F.Pulses be viable?

I don't think so. Paying 30+ points for a WIP 14 flash pulse doesn't seem like a very food investment. A lot of the time, you'd be better off just shooting them back. Taking 3 Fanous is pretty good, but that's largely because they're so cheap.

But, I wouldn’t be taking a 30 point model for just the F.Pulse. The F.Pulse is only used during ARO.

Flash pulse isn't a particularly good ARO, though. It's good on a warcor because it's 3 points. It's good on a flashbot because it's 7 points and has Mimetism. In both cases the value is that your opponent has to spend at least one order to kill it, often more, and when they do you haven't lost anything important.

Whereas if your opponent has to spend a couple of orders to kill your doctor or your Mukhtar FO, those are orders well spent. They'll thank you for leaving those pieces out to be killed.

(Even the warcor and flashbot will be less valuable in N4 because of the 15 order cap, for that matter.)

This is exactly it. Anything you leave out to take AROs has a decent chance of not being there on your turn.

honestly, I think you could DECIDE to use it knowing the weakness of it in exchange for its strengths, but I think they really put too much weakness into the ramah midboard game and they could easily fix the entire issue by giving a single cheap camo infiltrator to the sectorial.

    I'd be happy with infiltration/rifle/lightshotgun/camo (1 use)/ regular order/11pts/ava2 kind of thing.

after getting some help in the two posts I made, I ended up with a list with 3 fanous, a rafiq fto for my maggy, and a normal rafiq, as well as a ghulam missile launcher. I left maggy, the ghulam and all the fanous watching long lines, and the 2 rafiqs watching shorter lines.

I figured that if I can't have mid board then I"ll punish anyone that does? and most of that stuff is cheap as hell so if they kill it i'm not too sad... except maggy but she's a big girl and can take care of herself most of the time.

honestly I feel like ramah is in a great place except in mid board pressure as well as sectorial specific inactive defensive units. so you have to rely on your TR bots, fanous, and defensive link teams.

also you can start the game in suppressive fire, so if there is an area you don't want them pushing into you can lock it down with mukhtar in suppression before the game begins.

the wonderful thing I'm finding about 15 order lists is that the game is getting back under control in a way. it sucked playing against lists that you killed 10 models and they had 10 left. also now everyone will bring more expensive stuff which means that hackers and specialists have more use and power.

the taureg hacker is an absolute boss right now. I'd almost say its the closest thing to an auto include in the army since I've been just fine without mukhtars.

And use a Shihab remote in supresive fire, for defense and area denia,l instead of fanous a viable idea.

Is it really worth it to put a Shihab in SF...? You lose 1 Burst and the range bonuses. You gain the -3 SF penalty on the opponent, and no range penalty under 8", if memory serves me.
I'd say it is a very niche application.
