Nomads have Bandits. Bandits have Booty and Camouflage Special Skills. Haw to combine them during deployment phase, especially when Nomads player has more Camouflaged troopers? Booty is Deployment skill, so a roll is aught during Deployment phase. But Camouflage says that trooper profile hidden in Marker state is closed information. If Nomads player rolls secretly, opponent can challenge that roll. How to handle this?
It's public when you use the skill. Same as rolling for Infiltrate, you need to tell your opponent which marker is rolling and why it's rolling a dice.
Yes. They will still know it is Bandit inside that Camo, there is no way around it. They just don“t know WHICH profile of Bandit until you reveal.
Do you have to specify which camo marker, if you have several? For example, would stating "One of my camo markers has the Booty skill, so I'll roll for it now, observe" be considered legal? You hardly ever could hide the presence of the Bandit because of it's impetuousness, but at least you could hide which marker it was.
"Different actions a Trooper may declare are called Skills. There are two types of Skills: Common Skills, that any Trooper can declare, and Special Skills, that can only be declared by those units which list the Special Skill in their Unit Profile." You gotta declare the skill which means declaring who's using it.
As much as I would like that to be the case, and could even try to talk about it as a home ruling, RAW as Triumph says you need to declare which trooper is using the Booty skill.
I do believe he was talking about the Bandit being Irregular, which means that when you declare the group containing a Camo marker has an Irregular order in the pool, it telegraphs one camo marker is a Bandit. And you have two, you have two Bandits. There is no other irregular camo capable troop in CJC.
