Any good suggestions on how to build a 200-300 points army, using the miniatures in the starter pack? What would you add to make a good army?
Welcome to the forums :) Get yourself a Suryat HMG and something to proxy Preta with (or just get a box of Pretas, you'll want them sooner rather than later), and you can build something like this: It's not that strong, but should be nice enough to play some introductory games. Two NCOs combined with Lieutenant (+1 Order) make for nice order efficiency. If you want to make it 300 pts, and add some proper oomph to the list: This one requires Rasyat (only shotgun model is out at the moment, but can easily proxy a Spitfire), Drone box, and Ikadron box - again, all of those are units you might want to get pretty quick: Also, be prepared that you'll change your lists often. In Infinity lists are tailored for the missions you'll be playing, and - if you know it beforehand - the opposing army. I don't remember playing the same list more than 2-3 times, and I think I play over 10 years now :P
Have you heard if there has been an official statement on if the hungries are regular/irregular linked?
Yeah, for now they're irregular while in a fireteam. This can be mitigated by reducing their numbers in the link; add second Oznat, Raktorak and Kornak Wildcards, and you have Hungries link with one actual Hungry.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try and buy a Suryat and some pretas to get started. What would the tactics be with this list?
Well, Morats aren't known for their subtlety. The sectorial acts like a big, red brick applied to the face, with you choosing which side of the brick you'll use, and at which angle. There are three components in the first list - Fireteam, Sogarat, and Oznat with pet Preta. You can reposition the link and/or Sogarat usign Lieutenant's Orders through NCO troopers to get your troops where they're needed; Suryat HMG should be good at dealing with soft ARO troopers, while Sogarat should shred anything with too much armor for the HMG to handle. Oznat wants to be in CQB; you can use her either to screen your link from enemy attackers, or to push her forward and punish your opponent should he make a mistake and deploy bunched up somewhere.
