During his adversary’s first tactical phase, a player spends a cmd-token on a camouflaged trooper. Trooper bypasses order declaration procedure and goes directly to the suppressive fire state while still in camouflaged state?
No, because you follow the activation rules of the Suppresive Fire State One Trooper from that player’s Army List can activate the Suppression Fire State (along with their Peripherals, if they are a Controller), following the Activation rules of the State. And the Activation rules of the Suppressive Fire State say it is activated by using Suppressive Fire Entire Order. ACTIVATION ► The Trooper declared a Suppressive Fire Entire Order.
Look, everyone knows what the RAI is in this case. The rules are poorly written. Entering suppressive fire state should also remove any marker states. However, you are opening a can of worms if tactical use of cmd-token counts as an order. For example, can enemy ARO against the tactical use of cmd-token because it now counts as an Order?
Okay, so the tactical use of cmd-token really declares an entire order. So all nearby deployables trigger normally?
Ooh, that's actually pretty cool if minelayers can be used to deter forward-deployed troops from starting in suppression.
Some resurrecting on this question : do we have a final answer ? For example I have a speculo in Imp state deployed I use a cmd token to put it in suppressive fire state : - can I do that ? - does it stay in marker or is marker state cancelled ? - can the enemy react (ARO/mine/CK...) ? Based on the last FAQ : When making Strategic Use of a Command Token to place a Trooper in Suppressive Fire State, how does this interact with Marker States, nearby enemy Mines etc? The Trooper has not declared an Order, and will not trigger enemy Deployable Weapons etc. However, any States, Fireteam membership etc. that would be cancelled by declaring a Suppressive Fire Entire Order will be cancelled I would say Yes/No/No, do we all agree ?
Aye, she can do it, it cancels her IMP state, but doesn't generate AROs or trigger mines/deployables. With the FAQ this is pretty clear now.
