What are our best answers to enemy HIs and TAGs? Trying to list something, I came up with: - Daiyokai + Tanko in CC; - Wu Ming core with E/M Grenade Launcher; - Scarface (both CC and BS attacks); - Tanko ML(when backed up by a core); - Monkeys (CC); - Yojimbo (CC). Have you tried or thought about something else?
cube jaeger shoot from behind with E-mitter, bashi bazouk uses E-mines, Yuan yuan with boarding shotgun to shoot from behind (AD troops have always been the bane of TAGs) remote with repeater or a lu duan deployable repeater to provide range for a wardriver hacker(now at 14pts the most points efficient hacker ikari can field) All your examples are premium: the above stuff is cheap and can slot in easy, dont overlook them
Bashi Ap Rifle & Breaker pistols also deserves a mention As does tying the enemy up in cc with YYs Le Muet could kill a TAG Same with the bunch of panzerfaust around the place If you want to be really wierd you can put the Clipper in a Wu Ming core and FO then Guided Attack the enemy down
Slight correction ► Troopers with the BS Attack (Guided) Skill listed on their Unit Profile: ► During the Active Turn, they may perform a BS Attack against a target in Targeted State, without requiring LoF. They will perform a BS Roll with a +6 MOD, ignoring all other MODs except those imposed by ECM or TinBots to Guided Attacks. ► Unless the Skill itself indicates otherwise, the B will always be 1 regardless of the actual B value of the Weapon or any MODs applied to the B. Being in the Core wouldn't do anything for the Clipper to improve his Guided performance.
Ikari has a great selection of E/M too. Druze and Wu Ming E/M Grenade Launcher, Blizens, E/M mines, E-Mitters, etc.
While I'll surely test the Wu Ming, Druze has no more the Core option, so pretty hard to land an important hit.
True but then making Wu Ming core is a lot of points too. Other than a clipper, there's no way to make the core cheaper. There's nothing bad about a Druze haris though. The E/M GL, Hacker of some flavor, and Clipper or HMG and you've got a pretty good go-getter team. Especially now that they have 4-4 move. I think the KHD is still a good specialist too. Now the KHD also has the X-Visor and can do a bit of everything.
You can put a brawler in a Wu Ming core as well, no longer limited to haris. "Up to 1 Brawler can be part of a Fireteam of Wu Ming."
Brawler too, the core is not so expensive, counting the 24 guy. I love Druze but in their home faction.
